Hello dear Community of Movies and TV Shows. I had reserved some time to participate in this wonderful contest, where we must expose our favorite movies or television series from one of the most beloved film genres: comedy. Who doesn't like to have a good time with a laugh-out-loud story? I, in particular, like comedies that somehow reflect those conflicts that we face on a daily basis. I call it: "the humor of reality" because yes, sometimes life puts us in such embarrassing situations that it only causes us to laugh at ourselves. This is how human beings are: a walking comedy.

Talking about this particular genre already makes me smile. The first time the internet came into my hands, I didn't hesitate to watch YouTube videos of Charlie Chaplin. A cane, a hat and a peculiar mustache, outlined under black and white and many, many funny situations. Let's say that, even without the magic of sound and dialogue, the comedy shone like a pearl fresh out of the sea. There was a new way to laugh, to laugh heartily and shed several happy tears in the attempt. Unusual situations were intertwined under the blows and the cakes, and even the drunks. There was little plot coherence, but it was not necessary, because the learning was more satirical and irrational, absolved from dramatic complexes.

Había reservado algo de tiempo para participar en este concurso maravilloso, donde debemos exponer nuestras películas o series de televisión favoritas de uno de los géneros cinematográficos más amados: la comedia. ¿A quién no le gusta pasar un buen rato con una historia de carcajadas? A mí, en particular, me gustan las comedias que de alguna forma reflejen esos conflictos a los que nos enfrentamos a diario. Yo lo llamo: “el humor de la realidad” porque sí, a veces la vida nos pone en situaciones tan bochornosas que solo provoca reírnos de nosotros mismos. Así somos los seres humanos: una comedia andante.

Hablar de este género en particular ya de por sí me saca una sonrisa. La primera vez que el internet llegó a mis adolescentes manos, no dudaba en mirar vídeos por YouTube de Charlie Chaplin. Un bastón, un sombrero y un peculiar bigote, esbozado bajo el blanco y el negro y muchas, muchas situaciones divertidas. Digamos que, aún sin la magia del sonido y los diálogos, la comedia brillaba como una perla recién sacada del mar. Había una nueva manera de reírse, de carcajear con ganas y soltar varias lágrimas de felicidad en el intento. Situaciones insólitas se entrelazaban bajo los golpes y los pasteles, y hasta los borrachos. Había poca coherencia argumental, pero no hacía falta, porque el aprendizaje era más satírico e irracional, absuelto de los complejos dramáticos.

However, I have to admit that I am a faithful follower of humor with slight dramatic touches, the one that outlines the reality of men and ridicules it, takes it out of its mold and transforms it into an authentic comedy of the new century. How to forget the teacher Woody Allen? The characterization that this gave to the comic cinema was to change the history of humor with some more exceptional twists. This genre was beginning to take another form, one more attached to the irony and sarcasm of life. Run-over situations led to awkward, unusual, bizarre and clumsy adventures. There was a somewhat tangible balance between the rational and the crazy, and that gave a more distinctive touch to the laughter. Without a doubt, today's comedy is not at all the same as that of the 1930s or 20s.

Like all cinematographic genres, there was a necessary evolution to satisfy the new, somewhat more demanding generations. Taboo topics like drugs and assaults began to appear, and now, comedy embraced a more denigrated world. Gone are the cakes and the witty jokes, rudeness and sex landed in an area that seemed to fall into immorality, but that little affected the audience levels. So today's comedy is diverse, because there are many situations that can lead to a fit of laughter. Here are my favorites. Join me to review them.

La caracterización que éste le dio al cine cómico habría de cambiar la historia del humor con algunos giros más excepcionales. Este género empezaba a tomar otra forma, una más apegada a la ironía y el sarcasmo de la vida. Situaciones atropelladas conllevaban a aventuras incómodas, inusuales, raras y torpes. Había un equilibrio algo tangible entre lo racional y descabellado, y eso le daba un toque más característico a las carcajadas. Sin duda, la comedia de hoy no es para nada igual a la de las épocas de los 30 o los 20.

Como todo género cinematográfico, hubo una evolución necesaria para satisfacer a las nuevas generaciones algo más exigentes. Empezaron a aparecer temas tan tabú como las drogas y los asaltos, y ahora, la comedia abrazaba un mundo más denigrado. Atrás quedaron los pasteles y las bromas ocurrentes, las groserías y el sexo aterrizaron en un ámbito que parecía caer en la inmoralidad, pero que poco afectó los niveles de audiencia. Así pues la comedia de hoy es diversa, porque son muchas las situaciones que pueden llevarte a un ataque de risa. A continuación, mis favoritas. Acompáñame a hacer un repaso por ellas.
