Castlevania (Season 4 and final Season): A well-deserved happy ending

As I write this I just finished watching the 4th season of Castlevania a few minutes ago and it really took me by surprise, since I didn't know that this year another season would be released and also that this would be the last season, I thought it would at least have one more season and would end with a 5th, but this final season was pretty good, spectacular in many aspects and with a happy ending, which the characters of this series deserve, a very emotional ending, which closes all the remaining character arcs, a satisfactory ending for a great series.

The Castlevania series accompanied me for some years, since its first season and despite having few chapters, knew how to captivate my attention thanks to its excellent elements of animation, narration, music and ambience. It could be said that it is the series based on a video game par excellence and that during these last years it has earned a well-deserved place in this category.

I had no idea that this would be the last season, but then I realized that all the elements were almost ready to give the final closure. This 4th season, follows, once again the "adventures" of Trevor and Sypha, who follow the trail of a possible future resurrection of Dracula, parallel to this, Alucard, who was left alone in his father's castle, has a connection that encourages him to leave his castle to have a new hope in his life, but at the same time, outside forces will intertwine him with the path that Trevor and Sypha are following.

In terms of animation, I think it surpasses the previous seasons in many ways, and already in and of itself, the first 3 seasons have spectacular animation and art. But in this one, because it is the last season, more effort was put into both the art and the animation. I highlight the fight between Issac vs Carmilla, which is the best of this season, and of course, the whole final battle of chapter 9, a visual, artistic and musical spectacle.

The story and the outcome of Germain, is one of the most tragic and saddest of this story, a desperate and desolate man to find his lost love, it is quite sad his story and how he was corrupted to achieve his goal, to the point that he was deceived by Death itself. And speaking of Death, I must highlight the great voice work done by the actors in each and every one of his characters, the most notable, Death and Trevor, but in general all achieve an outstanding performance, being able to fit very well with their characters.

Castlevania was a great series from beginning to end, one of my favorites to date and which I'm sure will last for many years to come, with a satisfying, happy and well deserved ending for everyone, even for Dracula, who finally could be at peace with the one he loved the most, Lisa. It's sad to say goodbye to a series that you love so much, but Trevor, Sypha and Alucard gave enough for them to have their well-deserved rest.

I didn't know there was a series, I definitely have to watch it, this is one of my favorite video games, even today I continue to play it on my PSP, I think there is a version for the PS4, correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, there is a PS4 version called Castlevania Requiem and it has the Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood games remastered.
