El vidente es una película protagonizada por Nicolas Cage, Julianne Moore, Jessica Biel, Thomas Kretschmann, Tory Kittles, Peter Falk. Se estreno en el año 2007 bajo la dirección de Lee Tamahori .
La película comienza con Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage) sentado en una cafería cronometrando el tiempo de su reloj para esperar a una persona que llegará exactamente a la hora pautada, pero esta nunca llego, Cris Johnson se gana la vida trabajando en un casino como mago, ya que nació con una habilidad prodigiosa de predecir el futuro, pero solo un tiempo muy corto, y eso pasa más frecuente cuando siente que su vida corre peligro.
La habilidad de predecir el futuro le trae beneficio pero también consecuencias ya que el F.B.I al ver su talento, se dirige al casino para buscarlo y allí comienza una persecución por su captura pero no logran atraparlo porque el ya predice cada paso que darán y logra escapar antes de que lo atrapen.
El F.B.I Tenía mucho tiempo tratando de descifrar donde estaban unas bombas que iban ser detonadas en toda la ciudad pero como no logran saber donde están, deciden solicitar la ayuda de Cris Johnson para que sea él quien ubique las bombas, al comienzo el les dice que no puede ayudarlos porque no puede ver mas allá de un tiempo muy corto pero aun así quieren atraparlo y comienza una persecución por su captura, en el trayecto de esa persecución, Cris Johnson se dirige nuevamente a la cafetería para ver si logra encontrarse con esa persona que siempre ve en su futuro, por razones que ni el mismo sabe, pero que en su futuro siempre la ve en el mismo lugar a la misma hora.

The film begins with Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage) sitting in a coffee shop timing his watch to wait for a person who will arrive exactly at the scheduled time, but this never came, Cris Johnson makes a living working in a casino as a magician, as he was born with a prodigious ability to predict the future, but only a very short time, and that happens more often when he feels that his life is in danger.
The ability to predict the future brings him benefit but also consequences because the FBI, seeing his talent, goes to the casino to look for him and there begins a chase for his capture but they fail to catch him because he already predicts every step they will take and manages to escape before they catch him.
The F.B. I had a long time trying to decipher where were some bombs that were going to be detonated throughout the city but as they fail to know where they are, they decide to request the help of Cris Johnson so that he is the one who locates the bombs, at first he tells them that he can not help them because he can not see beyond a very short time but still want to catch him and begins a chase for his capture, In the course of the chase, Cris Johnson goes back to the cafeteria to see if he can meet the person he always sees in his future, for reasons he doesn't know himself, but in his future he always sees her in the same place at the same time.
En esta ocasión si la ve llegar a la cafetería e intenta acercase para hablar con ella, pero lo rechaza, se da cuenta de los fracaso que obtiene cada vez que se acerca pero gracias a su habilidad de ver el futuro lo intenta varia veces hasta poder lograrlo. El comienza a compartir con ella momentos muy lindos y se da cuenta que siente un gran amor, ella al principio no siente nada por él, pero a medida que pasa el tiempo ese sentimiento comienza a crecer.
El F.B.I sigue rastreando cada paso que da para poder capturarlo pero el siempre logra estar un paso más adelante que ellos, en esta oportunidad ya no estaba huyendo solo ya tenía una acompañante que también estaba siendo perseguida. El estando con ella tiene una visión y se detiene a escribirle una carta que le entrega a ella pero le da instrucciones que la lea en un tiempo especifico a la hora que el le indico, pues el ya sabía que el F.B.I. había dado con su ubicación para capturarlo.

He begins to share very nice moments with her and realizes that he feels a great love for her, at first she feels nothing for him, but as time goes by that feeling begins to grow.
The FBI keeps tracking every step he takes to capture him but he always manages to be one step ahead of them, this time he was not running away, he had a companion who was also being pursued. Being with her he has a vision and stops to write her a letter that he gives to her but he instructs her to read it at a specific time at the time he indicated, because he already knew that the FBI had found his location to capture him.
Cris hace todo lo posible para escapar, pero al final de esa persecución logra ser capturado ya que prefirió salvarle la vida a la agente del F.B.I antes que escapar, Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) es capturada por los terroristas que tienen las bombas colocadas en la ciudad mientras que a Cris Johnson lo tienen amarrado, obligándolo a que les diga donde tienen escondidas las bombas los terroristas, el comienza a ver el futuro y entra en pánico cuando se da cuenta que tienen a Liz (Jessica Biel) atada a una silla con varias bombas en su cuerpo y la hacen explotar en media ciudad, es allí cuando el accede a colaborar para encontrar las bombas y evitar que esto pase, sabe exactamente donde será la explosión y la hora, hace todo lo posible para evitarlo , con un escuadrón entrenado del F.B.I y su habilidad de ver el futuro logran descifrar las bombas y salvarle la vida a Liz, pero hubo una bomba que no pudo detectar porque había perdido mucho tiempo huyendo del F.B.I cuya bomba exploto acabando con la ciudad entera.

B.I. and his ability to see the future they manage to decipher the bombs and save Liz's life, but there was a bomb that he could not detect because he had lost a lot of time running away from the F.B.I. whose bomb exploded ending with the whole city.

Es allí donde Cris despierta del sueño, más que un sueño fue una visión muy larga que tuvo de todo lo que iba a suceder si no ayudaba al F.B.I desde el principio a busca esas bombas, allí fue que entendió el propósito del porque él veía constantemente a Liz en su futuro, pues ella le daba el poder de ver el futuro por un tiempo muy largo el cual les salvaría la vida a ambos.
It is there where Cris wakes up from the dream, more than a dream it was a very long vision that he had of everything that was going to happen if he did not help the FBI from the beginning to look for those bombs, it was there that he understood the purpose of why he constantly saw Liz in his future, because she gave him the power to see the future for a very long time which would save both of their lives.
¿Qué haríamos nosotros si tuviéramos esa capacidad de ver el futuro?, ¿lo usaríamos para un bien común?. Esto depende mucho del corazón y pensamiento de cada ser humano, con ese poder podrían salvar una nación o destruirla, por eso que Dios fue sabio y no permitió que nadie en este mundo obtuviera este poder porque en estos tiempos hay corazones muy perversos llenos de avaricia y venganza. Esta película muestra que si eso en realidad existiera, se podría usar para el bien de una nación, es por eso que me gusto mucho y quise compartirla con todos ustedes.

This depends a lot on the heart and thought of each human being, with that power they could save a nation or destroy it, that is why God was wise and did not allow anyone in this world to obtain this power because in these times there are very perverse hearts full of greed and revenge.
