Soo its been a minute since i watched a horror movie. I mean, I'm not really a fan of paranormal films, as why would i want to venture into such roller coaster of emotions...heh

When your daughter tells you she’s been to a psychic, how would you react😳??

This 2015 horror flick written & directed by Leigh Whannel begins when young teenager Quinn Brenner goes to consult a psychic after fruitlessly trying to reach out to her dead mother. She meets Elise Rainer a retired psychic who for some paranormal reasons, had quit using her abilities.

Elise reluctantly teams up with Quinn & her family after a near death experience that exposes Quinn to the paranormal and made her the target of a soul sucking demon.
They team up (Elise, Brenner family and two wannabe ghostbusters) to free Quinn from the grip of this demon. With each of them facing their fears head on in order to move forward and solve the impending danger.

Thumbs up>>> The movie had a really strong beginning, presented likable characters that we got attached to, and was able to successfully provide scare without being gory.

Thumbs down <<< The “boo” moments were quite obvious and after the first few scares it was almost laughable.
Also, the ending was cringy n precariously coming close to unintentional comedy. It involved too much familiarity. Lmao the directors probably thought it would be nice to make us watch them ride off into the sunset.
