The Wind Rises "When dreams come true" / |ESP| |ENG|

In the Second World War Japan was a less technologically developed country than Europe, especially than Germany. The Germans were fearful that their technology was copied by the Japanese but they were allies in the war.

The plot of this Ghibli Studios movie (which has never disappointed me) is based on the work of Jiro Horikoshi, an aeronautical engineer and also a dreamer. Since he was little he dreamed of creating airplanes and a crucial character in his dreams was Mr. Caproni who influenced him to be an engineer. I'm not sure if this is reality but the main plot was based on real events.

En la segunda guerra mundial Japón era un país menos desarrollado tecnológicamente que Europa en especial que Alemania. Los alemanes estaban temerosos de que su tecnología fuese copiada por los japoneses pero eran aliados en la guerra.

La trama de esta película de estudios Ghibli (el cual nunca me ha decepcionado) se basa en el trabajo de Jiro Horikoshi, un ingeniero aeronáutico y también un soñador. Desde pequeño soñaba con crear aviones y un personaje crucial en sus sueños era el señor Caproni que lo influencio a ser un ingeniero. No estoy segura si esto es parte de la realidad pero la trama principal estaba basada en hechos reales.

This is one of the most mature anime movies I have seen and I would like to focus on the romantic part of the plot. Jiro meets Nahoko and falls deeply in love with her. She is the daughter of one of Jiro's bosses but he gives his consent for that union.

The problem is that Nahoko is suffering from tuberculosis and her mother dies from the same disease. A deeply sad story that touched my heart. I do not want to spoil or advance more of the plot but it is a beautiful film that can touch our hearts quickly.

Esta es una de las películas más maduras que he visto de anime y me gustaría enfocarme en la parte romántica de la trama. Jiro conoce a Nahoko y se enamora profundamente de ella. Ella es la hija de uno de los jefes de Jiro pero este da su consentimiento para esa unión.

El problema es que Nahoko es que sufre de tuberculosis y su madre muere a causa de esa misma enfermedad. Una historia profundamente triste que me conmovió el corazón. No quiero hacer un spoiler ni adelantar más de la trama pero es una película hermosa que nos puede tocar el corazón rápidamente.

It is not the first time that an anime moves me, the same happened with the grave of the fireflies which is also based on the Second World War. Many of the war movies have that painful aspect but in anime it can also be transformed into visual beauty. Without a doubt, this is a tremendously artistic film but quite far from the fantasy that we can see in Ghibli studios.

It is a story film with slight touches of fantasy with a romantic story in between but also surrounded by Jiro's dreams of being a better engineer and creating machines capable of flying perfectly. All of us when obsessed with an idea can seem crazy and Jiro is no exception. He is a shy, reserved character and obsessed with airplanes, his mind is all the time flying with his airplanes.

Many of the Japanese animation films have that result, an incomparable aesthetic beauty and leave us emotions that flow in each scene. I do not know how they achieve such beauty, but I do know that there is a strong work behind this study that amazes us film after film.

No es la primera vez que un anime me conmueve, lo mismo pasó con la tumba de las luciérnagas la cual es basada también en la segunda guerra mundial. Muchas de las películas de guerra tienen ese aspecto doloroso pero en el anime se puede transformar también en belleza visual. Sin duda alguna esta es una película tremendamente artística pero bastante alejada de la fantasía que podemos ver en los estudios Ghibli.

Es un película historia con leves toques de fantasía con una historia romántica de por medio pero también rodeada de los sueños de Jiro por ser un mejor ingeniero y crear maquinas capaces de volar a la perfección. Todos nosotros cuando nos obsesionamos con una idea podemos parecer locos y Jiro no es la excepción. Es un personaje tímido, reservado y obsesionado con los aviones, su mente esta todo el tiempo volando junto a sus aviones.

Muchas de las películas de animación japonesa tienen ese resultado, una belleza estética incomparable y nos dejan emociones que fluyen en cada escena. No sé cómo logran tanta belleza, pero sí sé que hay un trabajo fuerte detrás de este estudio que nos maravilla película tras película.

In the end, it seems to me that this film leaves us a clear message, the Japanese discipline contributed enormously to the development of the country but also the dreams like those of Jiro Horikoshi, a man who yearned with all his soul to be able to manufacture airplanes since he was a child. Her dreams came true, that's what true engineers do, which inspired me even more to become an engineer and to be able to contribute my ideas to the future of humanity.

Como final, me parece que esta película nos deja un mensaje claro, la disciplina japonesa contribuyo enormemente en el desarrollo del país pero también los sueños como los de Jiro Horikoshi, un hombre que anhelaba con toda su alma poder fabricar aviones desde pequeño. Sus sueños se volvieron realidad, eso es lo que hacen los verdaderos ingenieros, lo cual me inspiro aún más en convertirme en una ingeniera y poder contribuir con mis ideas al futuro de la humanidad.

We must dream but we must also make an effort to fulfill our dreams, it is not an easy path but with every drop of sweat we can achieve them and the result will be satisfactory.
