Spring mood

Spring is not a mushroom season, especially if spring is as cold as it's here in Ukraine this year. You can only find Polypores.

Весна не грибний сезон, особливо така холодна, як у нас в Україні цього року. Можна знайти хіба що трутовики.

I found this one in a beautiful old park that grows on the former estate of a rich engineer. Yes, it turns out engineers can be rich. The estate itself is very beautiful. This is what one of its towers looks like when there are no leaves on the trees yet.

Ось цей я надибала у гарному старому парку, який росте в старому покинутому маєтку одного багатого інженера. Так, інженери теж бувають багаті. Маєток дуже гарний. Ось як виглядає одна з його башт, коли на деревах ще немає листя, як от зараз.

I love the colors of early spring. They are cold, but the sun makes them warm. I love the smell of bark and last year's leaves, heated by the sun. The first flowers and leaves. This is a special time and it is very short. One day you go outside and see that everything around is completely green, and you did not notice when it happened.

Я люблю кольори ранньої весни. Вони холодні, але сонце ролбить їх теплішими. Лбюлю, як пахне кора і нагріте сонцем торішнє листя. Перші квіти і перші листочки. Цей період дуже короткий. Одного дня я вийду з дому і побачу, що навколо буяє зелень, а я так і не помітила, коли це сталося.

My colleagues from the United States are happy to report that life there is slowly returning to normal. That's really great, but here things are different, unfortunately.

Today it's sunny, although it is still very cold. My flu's almost gone, and fortunately, it's not a coronavirus. I got back to work. Life goes on!

Мої колеги зі Штатів із радістю повідомляють, що життя там поступово повертається до звичної норми. Але на жаль не у нас.
Сьогодні надворі сонячно, хоч все ще холодно. Моя простуда майже пройшла, і на щастя це не коронавірус. Я повертаюся до роботи, і це теж мене радує :) Життя продовжується!
