Mushroom Monday - Random Finds

Here are a few random finds for this #mushroommonday

Here's the first find. I thought these might be jackolantern mushrooms at first but as I got closer the gills and shape of them were unique. I have no idea what they might be.

Next are some white jelly ears that almost look blue.

I hit them with a flash to get more detail. The latin name is Tremella fuciformis and it goes bu cloud fungus or white wood ear. It is edible but bland so it is mostly used in spicy broth soup to add texture.

Here is a prehistoric creature on top of a white russula.

Now for a tooth fungus.
PSX_20200928_073558.jpg
I am guessing this is an older specimen of northern tooth.

Latin name is Climacodon septentrionalis sadly these are not edible or medicinal.

Now for a strange unidentified fungi. I'm guessing this might be a young earthfan that hasn't bloomed yet. These mushrooms are really tough and well rooted in the ground.

Another strange new find.
PSX_20200928_080105.jpg
These were deeply rooted in the ground and had the same texture as cartilage. This reminds me alot of false morels but with a much thicker texture. My best guess is helvella crispa but sadly I did not see a stem on these as most helvella mushrooms have. More research is needed.

Happy #mushroommonday

Just the slimy white ones are edible. Probably good in ramen.

None of these are very edible sadly lol. The top unidentified picture might even be poisonous.

Beautiful pictures! The white jellies looked like ice cycles at first.

I think the thing on top of the white russula is a firefly larva. Here is a video I did on them. You can compare what you saw.

Yeah looks like you correctly identified the prehistoric creature. I never knew the larvae looked like this.

They don't taste like anything. They need lots of spices.
