Mushroom Monday - Colorful Turkeytail
Here are some colorful examples of turkeytail for this #mushroommonday for the #fungilovers community
This blue batch of turkeytail is one of my favorites that I have found around here.
It is nearby in a park forest that is easily visitable.
I like to check in on them to see if they might change to a different color.
Here is another example of turkeytail
These ones get camouflaged in the brown leaves. Also check out the pores on the bottom of this turkeytail. False turkeytail is very smooth and thin compared to this.
Now for some false turkeytail. Notice how it looks much thinner.
False turkeytail comes in many different colors as well. This false turkeytail is not poisonous but has no health benefits like true turkeytail.
And a random rock with some cool lichen on it. Rocks are a bit rare here in Illinois as the glaciers during the ice age smashed most of them into dust.
In the first photo, natural color or photoshop?
It's natural, from my samsung phone the blue trametes versacolor is one of the best variants of this fungi. I've seen multicolored turkeytail too.
This blue looking like butterflies!
First photo is good painting for interior!
It kind of reminds me Mongolian or Tibetan cloud art.
Wow! what beautiful colours!
I seem to find a new color of turkey tail each year.
wow cool this mushroom has colorful looks beautiful and rare and this is my first time seeing this mushroom in your post.
They are fairly common around here but the blue colored ones are rare. I've only seen them in one area.
