last year champignon stock

Wine is red, sky is blue, and champignons are white... right? Well, not at St.Petersburg, and not when I shoot them. The chance that little innocent fella will be x-processed is quite high!

When I picked up this one, I was enchanted with its grill textures and made a dozen shots. Pretty sadly, I choosed a shady spot for that and didnt use raw format. (Actually, it was a walk with my girl and I was in a hurry, it was promised "this one would be really the last one"). So I made it quickly and was not happy with results.

Now, having more time on my hands, I cooked it properly in the photoshop owen and -- look -- it became better! But still not a whiter shade of pale.

And below is the original file as shot. It only hints at the beautiful grill texture that appealed to me.

Probably, when the color doesnt matter, it is the real case for the black and white photography, I become convinced of this over and over again.

Happy Fungi Friday!

I wonder what species it is... White gills aren't common to champignons.

It was an old champignon, definitely. just ruined with its age.

Cool, looks like it might have gotten bleached in the sun.

I like mushrooms. But sadly, yesterday I grabbed a takeout order which was made with canned mushrooms. Ugh. That almost ruined what could have been a perfect meal. 🙄

Yum canned mushrooms lol. I knew a guy who would eat canned mushrooms as is, ;-0* They taste like a fake soy product after being canned.

Nice shot! The dirt gives it and extra raw look! 😍
