Fungi Lovers digest -- February 2021
With the latest digest, featuring exclusively @marianomariano posts, we still havent reviewed all the February posts notable mention. This is the final part #4. I hope soon the lag between dated and fresh posts will be eliminated or close to minimal.
not a big news
A pleasure to note that new active fungi lovers arrive. Up to date we are 585 subscribers (next goal is: 666!), 52 active posters, and had 223 interactions last week. Community account reached the total power of 3600 HP (thanks to @solominer, @qwerrie, @bambuka, @keuudeip and @portal-xenna for their delegation). As you know from previous posts, FL is a part of @OCD community incubation program -- you may wanna check the link above for full details. In brief, it means @OCD encourages hiveans to post to dedicated communities by giving back nice upvotes for great posts. (OCD discord channel, in case you have questions or wanna thank back).
We just kindly ask: go for quality, instead of quantity. No need to spam over the place with low quality posts, that will get you no readers; its pointless and waste of your lifetime.
@OCD- curated posts
@sketch.and.jam presented his own home kit-grown pink oyster mushrooms. He created a time lapse video of their growth - hard job to do. Amazing video.
Have a look, this is so mesmerizing!
@trucklife-family created this book review for the Hive Book club (hive-180164), but a decent post is never against a reblog or x-post, right? So, I x-posted it to FL community, for an extra publicity. The annotation claims the book is a manual for the mycological rescue of the planet. Do check it to educate yourself, its worth it; scribd.com and amazon have it... Maybe one day it will flash behind your eyes as ebook edition available for free?..

@gidlark made a cool captures of autumn mushrooms, and shared them for #fungirelay initiative.
@leylar took part in @bambuka's funny challenge #fungirelay and managed to find and show us her 1st post about mushrooms on the blockchain. It has some stunning, impressive finds like this Juda's ear, what else can I say!
@borjan shared with us this rare mushroom from Serbia (in the North Europe, we dont have it at all). Name is 'Witches heart' - scary mushroom!! scary... and smelly!!!
@marianomariano made another look at Oyster Mushrooms - isnt it too many? Nope! A lot of intresting, useful info about, including medicinal properties.
@suzana72 found some 'witch's butter' and other shrooms.
@bambuka shared his summer finds, some mushrooms are well-known some are not. Cortinarius caperatus was a new name for me!
@qwerrie shared a story from his Ladoga skerries travel - it was not without mushrooms. Fortunately!
@ridor5301 brought a collection of his findings from Aceh forest. have you ever seen hairy fungi? look at the photos, very convincing!
And a few more mushroom macros from Aceh forest by @ridor5301 - seems its resources are inexaustible, like its an ocean.
@mipiano shared some cool Spanish landscapes - generous, bountiful nature! not without some fungi and lichens. And, you know, everything looks better with a pair of googlyeyes!
Let me round up on this. I hope in just 1-2 next posts time will come for the actual posts of the week. Cheers! And a little reminder, as always: we have a nice fun challenge at HIVE, hold by @EwkaW: #FungiFriday. I hope many of you will join, as there are only 2 simple rules:
- when Friday comes, share your fungi with us! post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, stolen images will be checked and reported !)
- add #fungifriday (not necessarily must be your 1st tag). that's all!
Love me some shrooms
shrooms are good both in, and out of an omelette,
even inedible ones
:D
Thank you very much @hive-166168 🥰🍄
Happy FungiFriday to everyone!!!! 🤩
And thank you for including yin this post 🌠😇
Believe it or not, I visited today Happy Freddy, he is one eyed again... The other eye fell down, again.
why not? I believe you... that tree is marvelous, I see it why you put a smile on his face again. but I dont leave my spare pair of eyes at a spot... well, I can do it but very, very rarely!
I thought someone who had maybe a bad day, passes by that tree, that is not just a tree now... Happy Freddy would bring a smile and rise the mood of the person
Greetings with today's photo 😀
Super stoked to be featured in this, thanks so much. Looking forward to checking out all the other posts xxxx
