big news

Hola, Setero! Before I start with today's selection of fungi awesomeness, a little announcement: FL has a weekly contest now, you are warmly welcome to take part: 'Campfire conversation' run by @bambuka. In brief: tell us a short story combined with a photo. No need for a separate post, simply add your photo + story in comments section. Engagement with other entries is highly encouraged!

Another news is: FL was airdropped with a shiny new 'Nature' token issued by #AmazingNature community. From the next week we start giving away extra rewards to the quality posts presenting biodiversity in the world of fungi. (Still have to figure out yet the exact criteria). 10,000 tokens were airdropped, and 10-20 tokens feels like a right reward for active quality posters, content creators and engagers.

And one more. Count it like a little ad of some another ad, hehe. #OCD have started one more nice initiative supporting of communities, to promote the less-known ones. One community is set to a highlight position for a week, posting there receive extra support from #OCD. Last week it was Architecture + Design community. This week it is TOYS community. Give it a go, comrades.

not a big news

A pleasure to note that new active fungi lovers arrive. With the new season coming in spring, I think community will shrink more. Up to date we are 572 subscribers, 63 active posters, and had 320 interactions last week. Community account reached the total power of 3550 HP (thanks to @bambuka, @keuudeip, @solominer, @qwerrie, and @portal-xenna for their delegation). As you know from previous posts, FL is a part of @OCD community incubation program -- you may wanna check the link above for full details. In brief, it means @OCD encourages hiveans to post to dedicated communities by giving back nice upvotes for great posts. (OCD discord channel, in case you have questions or wanna thank back).

We just kindly ask: go for quality, instead of quantity. No need to spam over the place with low quality posts, that will get you no readers; its pointless and waste of your lifetime.

@OCD- supported posts

While in the North hemisphere we are doomed to take pictures of winter mushrooms, our comrades from Indonesia were lucky to have the rain season (which already have ended). This post will focus on all the delightful finds they brought here in February.

@deltasteem mixed up two splendid UFOs in his post. Nice finds, what more can I add to it -- I wish I could find something like that myself! I would definitely spend half-hour of my life in a company like that. Who would have thought there could be a fungi like this?

@ridor5301 met an extremely delicate ephemera that do not last long. great he had a camera on his hunt, to capture it -- I am sure the next day they are already rotten and gone.

Let me round up on this note. Another extremely teasing find from @ridor5301 -- he might be a real mushroom king of Aceh!
I can hear you ask, what about the iD. I have no idea! But to give it a credit, this mushroom is great even without any iD! Now its time to part ways....

🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄

And a little reminder: we have a nice fun challenge at HIVE, hold by @EwkaW: #FungiFriday. I hope many of you will join, as there are only 2 simple rules:

  • when Friday comes, share your fungi with us! post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, stolen images will be checked and reported !)
  • add #fungifriday (not necessarily must be your 1st tag). that's all!
