Five minutes of snail time
Sometimes you get the camera, go to some random place, start shooting and everything is awesome (damn Lego song) and you get what you wanted.
And then there are times you know exactly what you want and you see it in your head but it just doesn't work.
I found those mushrooms in my mum's garden one spring day. I didn't expect to see them there. I even kicked some accidentally so those were not good for shots anymore.
The few that survived were to be my next models though!
The day was nice and sunny after some morning mists. The trees were giving those soft shadows all I needed was a snail. One little snail to be able to fulfill my daily dreams.
And you'd think "hey woman, you are in the garden, go find a snail". That is exactly what I thought too. And I know that there are many snails around, but they are smart. They show up when you don't need them in places when they are not supposed to be. Quite typical snail nature.
Took me a while to find one hiding under some bush all sleepy and not very willing to cooperate*. I put him on the biggest mushroom and waited for him to wake up.
And then when I was ready with knees and elbows in the wet grass, the snail tried to ditch as fast as he could.
Oh the life struggles... :p
Happy Fungifriday! :)
My contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw
I hope many of you will join as there are only 2 simple rules:
- when Friday comes post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, I will check and report stolen images!)
- add #FungiFriday tag (it doesn't have to be your first tag)
That's all :)
Shot with Nikon D5500 + Sigma 105mm lens
(ƒ/11, 1/80, ISO1250)
All photos and text are my own.
*No snail was harmed during the photoshoot and was placed back where I got him from after we were done.
