Dead Tree With Rock-Like Fungi
Yesterday, while hiking around, we bumped into this tree stump.
It must have been top-less for years and the fungi clinging to it have seen better days.
There are two distinct sets of fungi.
Smaller and mostly white, they look like rocks pushed into the trunk.
Hmm, I wonder if these are even fungi?
The other set of fungi, higher up the trunk, is brown and rotten.
Nature is amazing even in its decay. It's all part of the eternal cycle of life.

Some of that fungi looks like they have faces on them. Really neat!
You are right. The third photo reminds me of a skull, while the fourth looks like some rotten teeth :)
