Today...

Mushrooms.

Yes, mushrooms. As I usually do about this time of year, also in October 2021 I took my scooter and went to the woods in the local mountains. I parked the vehicle on the side of the road and started the outing.

I left the paved road following a beaten path, then I started zigzagging, paying attention here and there. I didn't think I would find much, and it was, in fact: but I saw enough for a few shots with my smartphone.

The first molds arrived after a few minutes of walking, then the first ripe mushrooms. I didn't know many varieties, so I preferred not to touch any of them. My advice for anyone unfamiliar with the various specimens is to leave them where they are. Many species of mushrooms are poisonous, and it is important not to ingest them. In addition, many edible species have a long list of poisonous doubles that differ in only a few minute details.

On my hike, I followed the undergrowth for half an hour before reconnecting to the trail and continuing on a quieter road. The climb was not lacking, and neither was the descent. Once finished, I resumed my way home on my scooter.

The outcome of the day was quite disappointing: I saw just two or three specimens of edible mushrooms that I know well, but they were really tiny; I think they just got out of the ground: in fact, I left them where they were and passed over. Fortunately, I have collected a few photos, many of which are quite blurry. The fault lies partly with me, partly with the smartphone ordered last year, partly with the negligible tonnage of several photographed specimens.

I have collected about fifteen images in a folder on the desktop and have revised some lights, shadows, exposures, and contrasts thanks to an open-source graphics suite. As usual, I decided to finish by posting everything on the Hive Chain. I hope you enjoy the photo story I created. I think it might also be suitable for the #mushroomsmonday initiative as well as the Fungi Lovers community.

I leave you a greeting and I give you an appointment at the next episode with a series of shots on the same theme: I confess that I am already preparing the images.

Below you will find all the photos uploaded, and the article translated into Italian language later.

Oggi...

Funghi

sorry I didnt commented before on this. very busy lately, and got extra job in real life, and also got duties as extra curator for #creativecoin here at Hive. (and - I skip focusing on other blockchain anymore).

wanted to say that I paid to Ecency (and was refunded) - to boost your post. as it was rewarded without any boost, just for its quality content. nice!

and a !PIZZA, of course.

Thank you very much Qwerrie, no worry. I just tried the situation with Ecency, with medium or big boost I received back the points without any boost. But I enjoy anyway, a good reward and good engage by people like you. Thank you again with a !WINE, a !BEER or a !PIZZA, see you soon on photochain or other mushroom post 😁

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the various wild mushrooms native to Italy. Your secret location is mushroom paradise!🍄

For some reason I found myself thinking about how delicious the edible ones would taste sauteed with pasta and herbs in a white wine sauce! @davidesimoncini
