ESP/ENG: Doble celebración en el día de las madres/A double celebration on Mother's Day
Bienvenidos a mi blog
Saludos y bendiciones.
On May 9, seventeen years ago, God gave me the best gift for Mother's Day. A beautiful little girl whom we called Mariangel, who arrived to bring joy to the whole family.
That day I began to feel some discomfort at noon and my husband and my children began to tell me that hopefully the girl would be born soon and that be the gift of Mother's Day.
By 2:00 in the afternoon I already knew that the contractions I was having were signs that the delivery was very soon, all my deliveries were very fast, so I called the doctor and she told me to go to the clinic immediately.
I remember that the elevators were damaged and I had to go down the 12 floors by stairs.
When I arrived at the clinic the doctor was waiting for me and within half an hour Mariangel saw the light of this earth for the first time. She was a quiet little baby.
We arrived home the next day and all her siblings were waiting for her with great joy. She was and still is their spoiled little sister.
Yesterday more than Mother's Day, we celebrated her birthday, my oldest daughter and I at home and her other siblings from the cell phone through calls and messages, since they are out of the country.
So we made her a delicious breakfast of grilled arepas with diáblito and guayanes cheese and parchita (passion fruit) juice.
For lunch we had pasta carbonara, which I prepared with bechamel cream, bacon bits and pecorino cheese accompanied by a salad of romaine lettuce and tomatoes with a dressing prepared with mayonnaise, oil and a little mustard.
For dinner a sandwich with chicken, cheese and vegetables accompanied by french fries and to finish this special day a cold cake of oreo cookies that her sister prepared for her and which was super rich.
We sang happy birthday and Mariangel blew out her candle. A beautiful and traditional closing for this celebration.
