Happy afternoon friends of Hive. I hope you are doing very well. I am pleased to be here again to share with you the experience of my friend Beatriz. A story that teaches us to avoid giving comments in situations we don't know about.

In 2001, Beatriz became pregnant for the second time. She already had a five-year-old daughter and looked after her with great hope. Beatriz's second pregnancy developed normally, without complications. After giving birth to her second child, whom she named Evelyn, she began to feel intense irritability whenever the baby cried. This irritability was joined by a lot of sadness and sudden panic attacks, which is why Beatriz's husband, Javier, decided to take her to the doctor. She was prescribed some medication for her anxiety and they suggested that she lead a quiet life.

Beatriz started with her treatment, but it did not work in her favor, as she was in a critical condition and warranted stronger treatment. She did not want to carry Evelyn, did not want to breastfeed her and could not stand crying. Javier noticed that the situation was getting out of control and sought help from his relatives. Instead of helping, they began to say that Beatriz was a bad mother, that her behavior revealed that she did not love Evelyn and that she certainly did not want the pregnancy. In the face of such unwise comments, Beatriz got worse. Everyone told her: "How can you not carry your baby? Do your part. She needs you. Everything Beatriz heard made her feel even more dazed, she felt guilty for what was happening, she barely held the baby and began to feel an overwhelming despair and let go of her.

The situation became more intense, so Javier took her back to the doctor. When they took into account all the symptoms, they referred her to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist, upon observing her, diagnosed her with post-partum depression and because he saw her so badly, he gave her a referral for hospitalization. Beatriz was hospitalized for a month, her condition was extremely delicate. She had to be given strong psychotropics and antidepressants until she gradually stabilized. After she was discharged, she arrived home and when she met Evelyn, she fell again. So the psychiatrist suggested that they care for the baby in another home while Beatriz made a full recovery.

A friend of Beatriz's offered to help, only she couldn't take care of the baby because she worked full time. So she took her to a trusted lady named Graciela, who agreed to take care of the baby while Beatriz recovered. Graciela became very fond of Evelyn, taking care of her as if she were her own daughter. A year after Beatriz was able to hold Evelyn, everything began to smooth out in the family.

But Mrs. Graciela begins to suffer because she had to give up the child. I will tell you about Mrs. Graciela's experience on another occasion.

If we do not know very well about a situation, we should avoid giving opinions because we can be very hurtful.
