Comic Book Speculation

It's another week of comic book releases; it's a rainy dreary day here, and the cold has returned, but we have some books to look at today. So not all is bad in life, is it?

Again, the idea of this post is to point out some comic book sales, currently, that you could potentially exploit existing market inefficiencies to profit from. If so inclined, you could walk (or bike, or drive) to your local store this morning, buy these books off of the shelf for cover price, return home, put it on eBay, and make a few dollars.

I know it's not as exciting as Leofinance (oh trust me, Leo agrees!), but hey, it's profit. It's also additional money you could use to invest in Hive, or BTC, or Doge, or a NFT Tweet...or even Leo, I dare say, as I'm sure they would not frown upon that.

If you choose to do so, that is. I do not flip books, but appreciate this guide I prepare each week to look for options for art/books to keep in my long term collection. So without further ado, let's take a look:

This Non-Stop Spider-Man book has had two current sales at roughly $22 USD. This is a "one per store variant" by artist Todd Nauck. I'm not sure what stores are charging for, but if you see it and the price point makes sense, it's probably an easy one to flip. Who doesn't love Spiderman?

Who doesn't love this cover? I hope you do enough to remember it should you see it today, because this $4 USD cover price has had two sales in the $40 - $45 USD range. Listings are still in the +$30 USD range.

I'm not sure what is going on with this Mad Cave comic book, Nottingham 1, but I'm sure it's scarce. There are four sales on eBay for core price ($4 USD), but one active bid for a book at $35 USD with shipping. I would recommend you grab this one today if you see it.

And that's about it. I'm passing on all of these books today, personally, as I'm trying to get some more Momokos in the Hattie Collection. It's an easy week; anything you might want to read could be found on eBay for roughly a bit over cover. Personally, I'm looking forward to one of my favorite Gnostics, Grant Morrison, and his collab with Boom! on Proctor Valley Road.

In fact, I'll be trying to pick up the Ward "thank you incentive" today too should price work out for me should this one get picked up for film/television in the future.

That's all I'm seeing this week; did I miss anything? Let me know below. Good luck today, everyone.

Just when I think I have enough to read, I'm now seriously looking into Serial and Proctor Valley Road. Thanks for the pointers!

Yeah? I am really looking forward to Proctor Valley...I think it's a short series too, so it won't drag on too long. Boom! has been doing such good work, and I do like Morrison's stuff (as weird as it can get).
