Comic Book Adds for the Week

Another week of Momokos made their way through the USPS to our house, safe and sound. I feel like shops are finally getting through COVID related delays, but the backlog is still quite extensive.

This week my adds were all about a) scarcity, b) the artist and c) possible long-term appreciation. Up first would be the Momoko No Heroine issues 1-3 that finally arrived. I picked up the color virgin and sketch virgin for each. Each copy was limited to 500 copies worldwide:

The story is about an early a young recovering woman on a journey to find a friend who keeps her away from her heroin addiction. Unfortunately, the group of folks who have her friend includes heroin dealing vampires. I don't know...this sounds to me like it could get picked up for some type of streaming content. A strong, recovering female anti-hero fighting drugs and vampires; I like it.

My next grab was a Micelli 500 run variant for the new horror series Stillwater. I really loved the art work on this one variant; the A-cover for Stillwater is already heating up, so this might be a good sign. The series is written by Chip Zdarsky, and many think it could (could) be a similar series to heat up like James Tynion's Something is Killing the Children. For $15 USD, I thought it was worth a gamble.

That's it for this week! Let me know what you think, and please share your pickups this week too if you grabbed some goodies. Thanks as always for reading and stopping by.
