Hi! I’m probably talking to myself but hey I always do so, why change that? _{(do leave a comment to know I'm not talking to myself!)} Anyways, I’m Victoria and this is my alt account for personal content (shit posts and more!), my main account is @victoriabsb and I wanted to separate stuff since in my main account I do Hive tutorials and carry some initiatives, I'm kind of a neat freak with a little bit of OCD throw in the mix and that caused me to stop wanting to posts any personal stuff on my main account, I wanted the tutorials that I put so much effort into making to not get lost in a vast ocean of personal content, I want that material to be of help for new and not so new users, and yes I know I can just post to a community and that wont show up on my blog but! What is the point of making a post and only sharing it on a community and not in my blog I don’t know.

So, I really want my Blog to have some kind of put togetherness, even tho I do plant to post about different stuff here, I will not be posting tutorials or initiatives from this one, go to my main account for that @victoriabsb.

Now let’s get to why we are here! since the Blogging Challenge started a couple of months ago I wanted to be part of it, but like I said I'm a OCD so, I needed to join in on the start of the month and last month I was too busy to put together this account to make it on time, and I know I'm making this on the second day of the month but lets just pretend is the 1st!

My Blog’s Name

VictoriaBSB

It may be obvious why the “Victoria” part of the user (is my name duh!, fun fact: is actually my second name) but a get a lot of questions on the “BSB” part, let me begin by saying that this is my username in almost every single social media, I have been using it for more than 10 years now.

The BSB part of the name it used to be obvious before but now since the years have gone by and the musical group that owns the name has become less popular, is normal to get people asking about it, some may do the association with said group but still ask because they can’t believe I like them.

Yes! I am a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys, have been one since 1999, so over 20 years now, I can’t remember what I was buying in a newsstand but I do remember being there and seeing this teen magazine (I was 12 at the time) with them on the cover wearing Christmas outfits and looking all boy band heartthrobs. I got the magazine and started reading about them learned they were a musical group and by that time very popular so, it wasn’t hard to actually tune into the radio and find a song by them.

I started getting the magazine monthly they had a whole page dedicated to them every month with the lyrics of a new song from them translated into spanish side by side with English, this helped me a LOT falling in love with learning the language, I took classes in high school of basic English but true be told all that I know about the language I owe it to them and their music.

They’ve come to Venezuela 3 times and I’ve gone to every single one of their concerts here (those were better times) and I own all their original CDs but the last one (haven't being able to afford it) and to this day I listen to their music.

I know they are probably not up to the level of Coldplay or any other indie pop bands but they do have good music and no, I don’t mean the I want it that way song that one I hate! Lol and not only that but seeing how they treat their fans and how much they have accomplish being the longest running pop boy band to exist (27 years and counting) I think they deserve some respect at least for that.

So, my blog’s name is VictoriaBSB because I am a proud fan of the Backstreet Boys

Is easier for me to remember it and since I created all my other social media initially to connect with other fans and with them (twitter was the first one where I used it!) I keep using it everywhere.

I could have gone differently with this alt account and I actually did I created a couple of other accounts but coming up with good catchy names is just not my thing and since all the people that I know on Hive already knows me as VictoriaBSB I wanted to keep it and just added a small “.” In the middle of the Victoria and BSB to differentiate from the main and the alt accounts.

Blogging Challenge & More

So, the blogging challenge is already on their 3rd month that means there are 90 topics already suggested, the community behind it is not to strict on you having to do each topic on each exact day, they actually allow you to skip any topics you may not like and that is why I have mix all 3 months together and come up with my own list for the blogging challenge using the topics suggested but not necessarily in the same order.

If you want to start on the challenge I suggest join in the Community and their Discord Server they have English and spanish versions of the topics!
