BLOGGING CHALLENGE Part 3 day 31: The trolley problem [ENG/ESP]
DILEMA DEL TRANVÍA
Well, last day of the part 3 of the Blogging Challenge, which last with a weird problem to solve, well, not solve but reading the article on Wikipedia, I know there is a moral correct answer, but forgetting about that, I'll elaborate my options.
Bueno, último día de la parte 3 del Blogging Challenge, que dura con un problema raro a resolver, bueno, a resolver no pero leyendo el artículo en Wikipedia, sé que hay una respuesta moral correcta, pero olvidándome de eso, voy a elaborar mis opciones.
Without any context, Not knowing who put them there or who they are, I'll save five, in other words, I'll kill one. Because is the right thing to do, five are more lives than one.
Next option with another point of view: the trolley was for those fives so, I'll let it happen, because if I'm just there and I'm not there to play the hero, there must be a reason for that people to be there.
Sin ningún contexto, Sin saber quién los puso ahí o quiénes son, salvaré a cinco, es decir, mataré a uno. Porque es lo correcto, cinco son más vidas que una.
La siguiente opción con otro punto de vista: el vagón era para esos cinco así que, dejaré que pase, porque si sólo estoy ahí y no estoy para hacerme el héroe, debe haber una razón para que esas personas estén ahí.
In terms of consequences for me, five persons have way more family so, it will be at least ten persons hating me and probably blaming me as much as they do with the actual killer, just because I let them die. Also they won't understand the decision. Meanwhile, the family of the other one still will hate me but they will understand the decision, it's not personal is just logic.
En cuanto a las consecuencias para mí, cinco personas tienen mucha más familia, así que serán al menos diez personas las que me odien y probablemente me culpen tanto como lo hacen con el verdadero asesino, sólo porque los dejé morir. Además, no entenderán la decisión. Mientras tanto, la familia del otro todavía me odiará pero entenderá la decisión, no es personal es sólo lógica.
So What will happen if I'm in that situation...
If I take very literal the statement "...However, you notice that there is one person on the side track" it say that the person is there, not if it's tied up too, I can imagine it is in so it's what make the decision difficult but id doesn't say so, I'll pull the lever and well, that person better pay attention and move. It can be the murderer, the person who tied up the other five and didn't had the time to run far away... it doesn't matter how I think about it, I'll pull the lever.
The decision will be different only if I know the people involved and the five are bad.
Entonces, ¿Qué pasaría si estoy en esa situación?...
Si tomo muy literalmente el enunciado "...Sin embargo, te das cuenta de que hay una persona en la vía lateral" dice que la persona está ahí, no si está atada también, me puedo imaginar que lo está por lo que es lo que dificulta la decisión pero no lo dice, voy a tirar de la palanca y bueno, más vale que esa persona preste atención y se mueva. Puede ser el asesino, la persona que ató a los otros cinco y no tuvo tiempo de huir lejos... no importa cómo lo piense, tiraré de la palanca.
La decisión será diferente sólo si conozco a los implicados y los cinco son malos.
