Hello my Hiver's, today is my day 10 in the #BloggingChallege, fourth part, the question of this day was not so much to my liking but it's my turn to answer Have you ever been arrested? tell us why and how was the experience, maybe my story is not with emphasis towards an arrest but it is related.

It all started with an express kidnapping here in Maracaibo, my dad went out to take my mom to a meeting, on a Saturday at 9:00 pm at night, in an unknown area: My dad didn't want to get out of the truck, he got careless listening to music and from one moment to the next two guys appeared and made him open the door with a gun in his hand and left him in the middle of the two criminals, They drove my father around the city while they interrogated him, my father is a violent person, but he did not put up any resistance, he told me that he was only thinking about his daughters, after a couple of hours they left him in a dangerous area, my mother when she realized this called me on the phone and said "your father is not answering", I answered her: I leave the cell phone mommy, I have it! .

He tells me they took him away, on the corner they saw everything, I get desperate, I start my mom's car and drive off with my younger sister, I go to the area where my mom was, I get a call, I answer and it is my dad, he tells me I am fine, I am in this place, I was already arriving where my mom was.

My sister gets out, hugs my mom and I start without giving any explanation to where my dad is. Finally I get him (while I tell the story I get tears of remembering everything I lived that weekend with my daddy), I hug him, he cries and tells me I could only save this: my makeup box that I still have, he gets into the car very upset, wipes his tears and starts the car at full speed because he heard some conversations of them, if we grab via the clean and we go through all those neighborhoods, it was 2: (I call my mom and tell her not to worry) everyone was in bad shape, my dad calls several friends he knows and they tell him that it is possible that the truck was left in a shopping mall.

We immediately went to the Sambil, which is the one with the biggest parking lot, we received the first call and they told us that they wanted 200 million in cash, at that time it was about $600, it was impossible to find all that in cash, my dad went to an uncle's house and on the way we were stopped by a policeman.

Aquí viene el gran problema | Here comes the big problem

My dad was upset because of what had happened to him but he couldn't say anything because he didn't want to lose the truck, we were going very fast and it went through a stop sign and the traffic light, it was very bad and I started to say all kinds of rude things to the policeman, that they were useless, that they didn't stop thieves, of course because they were just like thieves, no police force is useful in my country and between so much stress I didn't understand what he was saying.

The policeman asked for the car papers and that car belonged to my mother and my father without documents and my mother who is the owner was not with us, they took us to the nearest police station which is just 3 blocks from my house for disturbing the public order, when we arrived there a friend of the house took my father's documents to the police station, my father took out his official credentials (he is a human rights defender) but it was worthless because all the above had already happened, they put handcuffs on me for being arrogant.

We wasted time anyway, we were at the station until 7:00 am, the chief of the police command arrived, known to my dad and they let us free, my dad told the chief what happened and guess what, he gave us a contact to see if we could recover the truck, corruption to unimaginable levels, before I left I told the policeman (you see, it is always the same, here there is no law).

Maybe I got off topic, but I think it was my best example because I was able to mention two horrible experiences in the same topic.

"If we do not have honest, courageous and efficient police, judges, lawyers, prosecutors; if they surrender to crime and corruption, they are condemning the country to the most desperate and atrocious ignominy."

What an experience! I don't like the police at all. So much corruption amdist them when they are the ones tasked with protecting the people. It's not just in your country, I believe it's everywhere. It's a good thing your Dad was safe and you all found each other. Thanks for sharing your story 🙂🍀
