Hello Hive friends!

For Day # 4 of the #Bloggingchallenge I must tell you about my Dream Job, the answer is directly related to my previous post and you will see why.

I am a Civil Engineer, I worked for many years in Bridge and Highway Construction.

As I already mentioned, I worked many years in construction sites, for me that is my dream job, but when I started I still didn't know how much I would like it.

It all started when I was finishing my career in the technical phase, I had to do my internship. At that time the construction of a regional highway was underway near where I lived and studied, so I ventured to ask to be accepted as an intern in one of the companies that were there, and I was accepted in Pilotes Perforados C.A., the company that was in charge of making the bridges and caissons of the highway.

It was there where I met the engineer who later became my friend and teacher for years.

In the internships I did very well, especially because I was trained to handle AutoCAD, a computerized program for drawing plans, and in the construction site it was very important to do that work because the plans had to be constantly consulted, adjustments, calculations and corrections had to be made, and that was where I fit in. After the internship I assumed the position of Technical Analyst III, which gave me a lot of responsibilities on the site, I worked with the Resident Engineer and other construction professionals and we made a great team.

I continued studying to obtain my engineering degree, at the same time I was working. It was not an easy time, as I worked during the day and studied at night, but it was worth it.

When the company finished the works they had in the area where I lived I thought I would not continue working with them, but to my surprise they offered me to continue working with them in other works in various parts of my country, and I accepted.

I worked in several construction sites throughout the country with that company for more than 10 years, I learned a lot, and I realized that I had already obtained the job of my dreams, because it made me love my career and I really liked working with them.

Unfortunately the company had to close operations in Venezuela, due to economic problems and in the end I left the country looking for a new dream job.

I think that having started working in the construction field so quickly and young opened the doors to many options, because I already have my work experience, which everywhere weighs more than the title itself, so I am very satisfied with what I have achieved so far and I know that many interesting things await me to live.

Thanks for reading, and happy day to all.
