[ESP/ ENG] Blogging Challenge - Day 11: My favorite childhood book

Quiero comenzar este post disculpándome con los que me leen en este reto por dos cosas: Primero, por haber estado tan desaparecida del reto durante los últimos días y segundo por haberme saltado dos días del mismo, puesto a que hoy me correspondía escribir el día 9: El mejor viaje de mi vida, pero escogí no hacerlo porque el mejor viaje de mi vida fue hace muchos años y la verdad ya no sé donde están las fotos. Tampoco hice el día 10: Mis 10 comidas favoritas porque luego de comenzar a escribirlo me pareció aburrido y entendí que no era algo que yo escribiría.

Aclarados esos puntos, les contaré sobre mi libro favorito de la infancia.

Alicia en el país de las Maravillas- Lewis Caroll

La primera vez que supe de la historia de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas fue por su versión de Disney al igual que la mayoría. Me parece una buena adaptación y también me gustó mucho como adaptaron una historia oscura al público infantil, tal como suele hacer Disney con sus películas.

Ahora bien, luego conseguí en la casa de mi tía este pequeño libro ilustrado de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas y lo leí en un solo día, luego lo releí varias veces. Este ha sido mi libro favorito de la infancia, sobre todo porque pude ver las pequeñas diferencias entre la literatura y adaptación cinematográfica de una historia que me gusta mucho.

También las ilustraciones que tiene el libro son preciosas y te pintan los personajes en un estilo diferente:

Debo decir que Alicia en el País de las Maravillas me parece una historia preciosa y que expresa mi estilo completamente, y hasta ahora todas las versiones que he consumido (en literatura y cine) me han gustado mucho. Es una lástima que esta historia tenga un origen tan turbio (que puedes leer aquí), pero aún así me parece maravillosa y tiene un significado especial para mi por ser uno de los primeros
libros con los que me enganché.

Luego, cuando me gradué de Bachillerato esta historia sirvió para inspirar el tema de nuestra promoción, la cual llamamos: WE ARE ALL MAD HERE. Estábamos muy felices con el tema pues sentimos que nos identificaba muy bien con todas las locuras que hacíamos en el salón de clases.

Y esa es la historia de mi libro favorito de la infancia, espero que les haya gustado.

I want to start this post apologizing with those who read me in this challenge for two things: First, for having been so disappeared from the challenge during the last days and second for having skipped two days of it, since today it was my turn to write on the 9th: The best trip of my life, but I chose not to do it because the best trip of my life was many years ago and the truth is I don't know where the pictures are anymore. Neither did I do the 10th: My 10 favorite meals because after I started writing it I found it boring and I understood that it was not something I would write.

Having clarified those points, I will tell you about my favorite childhood book.

Alice in Wonderland- Lewis Caroll

The first time I heard of the story of Alice in Wonderland was because of its Disney version as most people do. I think it is a good adaptation and I also liked very much how they adapted an obscure story to children's audiences, as Disney usually does with its movies.

Now, then I got this little picture book of Alice in Wonderland at my aunt's house and read it in one day, then I reread it several times. This has been my favorite book of childhood, especially because I could see the small differences between literature and film adaptation of a story that I like very much.

Also the illustrations in the book are beautiful and the characters are painted in a different style:

I must say that I think Alice in Wonderland is a beautiful story that expresses my style completely, and so far all the versions I have consumed (in literature and cinema) have been very popular. It is a pity that this story has such a murky origin (which you can read here), but I still think it is wonderful and has a special meaning for me for being one of the first
books that I got hooked on.

Later, when I graduated from high school, this story inspired the theme of our class, which we called: WE ARE ALL MAD HERE. We were very happy with the theme because we felt that it identified us very well with all the crazy things we did in the classroom.
