Its really rare to find someone that is not into Christmas or doesn't have a good memory of Christmas.

The idea of Christmas while I was growing up is a bit different from what I see in Hollywood movies, it was a time of family get together with no Santa in view, it was my favorite time of the year.

There was Christmas gifts and presents but we were not accustom to Christmas tree, in most cases, when it's 20th December, I and my siblings would have started making ready the Christmas decorations, making sure that the Christmas lights are working

My best part of the decoration is hanging the lights at different spots of the house, it's really amazing to see the lights come on in different sequence of colors. That's an unforgettable experience that I enjoy even up till this time.

One of my experience as a kid in Christmas that I can never forget is my experience with fireworks, when I was little, on the 24th, my mum do buy this sparkling fire stars which we use to run around. It has always being fun

Growing up with male friends made me enjoy and attempted the use of banger even more, then we do have street to street competition of fireworks and it always turns out fun and lively but at the moment everyone have grown up and many have moved out to different cities, Christmas and New year Eve has really changed over the years. It's no longer as it used to be.

Crecer con amigos masculinos me hizo disfrutar e intenté usar banger aún más, luego tenemos competencia callejera de fuegos artificiales y siempre resulta divertido y animado, pero en este momento todos han crecido y muchos se han mudado a diferentes lugares. ciudades, Navidad y Nochevieja han cambiado mucho a lo largo de los años. Ya no es como solía ser.

The holiday season is usually a time to visit loved ones, those from the eastern part of Nigeria, usually travel to their home town during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Then we always have a full house when we travel to our grandparents house or even when we don't travel, my siblings do come down to our parents house with their family which makes the house lively and full with fun.

La temporada navideña suele ser un momento para visitar a los seres queridos, los de la parte oriental de Nigeria, que suelen viajar a su ciudad natal durante las vacaciones de Navidad y Año Nuevo. Entonces siempre tenemos la casa llena cuando viajamos a la casa de nuestros abuelos o incluso cuando no viajamos, mis hermanos bajan a la casa de nuestros padres con su familia, lo que hace que la casa esté animada y llena de diversión.

This Christmas isn't as fun as it used to be, it doesn't really look like Christmas this year. No decoration was made neither did my siblings return for the holiday, it is a quiet house with no fireworks to throw around. I may not have stated all the good memories but I really do miss the days when I was growing up

Esta Navidad no es tan divertida como solía ser, realmente no parece Navidad este año. No se hizo ninguna decoración ni mis hermanos regresaron para las vacaciones, es una casa tranquila sin fuegos artificiales para tirar. Puede que no haya dicho todos los buenos recuerdos, pero realmente extraño los días en que estaba creciendo.
