Blogging Challenge : Day 01

Well... I made the decision to join the 30 day blogging challenge. I don't know, I guess it also allows me to get to know my fellow hivers a little better and them to get to know me. I find it a very interesting dynamic. I also think it's kind of a push for content creators within the platform, as an exercise, to unwind. So I think it's pretty cool.

Today I'm up for, "Explain your blog's name".

Where should I start?

Ummm... Got it!

Well, it's more like a nickname. The truth is that I'm not so comfortable with my first name, which in full would be, Genesis. And many years ago, starting my adolescence, I wanted something a little different but without losing the essence. I also wanted something shorter, like an abbreviation, that's when "Gis" was born.

However, sometimes I daydreamed. I'm a real Tim Burton fan and at some point I imagined something creepy like a city where it had specific characteristics (maybe another day I'll tell you about that). The point is, the city would be named after me. And just like Zombieland, it had to be special. From that, "Gisland" was born.... So I guess the name has gone through several stages.

In my first post inside Hive, I mentioned that I had previously had a blog (with the Blogger platform). The domain name was "elpragmatismodelmundo.blogspot.com" but when I logged in, it had the name "Gisland" in the welcome. Due to some changes, it now throws error when trying to enter the website, so it is permanently out of service.

Since I got to know the Hive.Blog blockchain I knew I had the perfect name. Although I was still a bit hesitant at the beginning. But it was simply the right choice.

What can I add?

I think it was a long process of creativity, which wasn't really meant to be, but it turned out really well. I love both my nickname, and the name of my blog. I hope you do too.

Blogging Challenge : Día 01

Bueno... Tomé la decisión de unirme al reto de 30 días de blogging. No lo sé, supongo que también me permite conocer un poco más a mis compañeros hivers y ellos a mí. Me parece una dinámica muy interesante. También pienso que es una especie de impulso para los creadores de contenido dentro de la plataforma, como un ejercicio, para desenvolverse. Por lo cual me parece bastante genial.

El día de hoy me toca: "Explica el nombre de tu blog".

¿Por dónde podría empezar?

Ummm... ¡Lo tengo!

Pues, es más como un apodo. La verdad es que no estoy tan cómoda con mi primer nombre, que completo sería, Génesis. Y hace muchos años, iniciando mi etapa de adolescencia, quería algo un poco distinto pero sin perder la esencia. También quería algo más corto, como una abreviatura, fue cuando nació "Gis".

Sim embargo, a veces soñaba despierta. Soy realmente fan de Tim Burton y en algún momento me imaginaba algo tétrico como una ciudad en donde tuviera características específicas (tal vez otro día les cuente sobre eso). El punto es, que la ciudad llevaría mi nombre. E igual que Zombieland, tenía que ser especial. De ahí nació "Gisland"... Así que supongo que el nombre ha pasado por varias etapas.

En mi primer post dentro de Hive, mencioné que ya había tenido con anterioridad un blog (con la plataforma de Blogger). O= El nombre del dominio era "elpragmatismodelmundo.blogspot.com" pero al ingresar, poseía en la bienvenida el nombre "Gisland". Debido a algunos cambios, ahora arroja error al intentar ingresar al sitio web, por lo que se encuentra fuera de servicio permanentemente.

Desde que conocí la blockchain de Hive.Blog supe que ya tenía el nombre perfecto. Aunque igual estaba un poco indecisa al inicio. Pero simplemente fue la elección más acertada.

¿Qué puedo agregar?

Creo que fue un largo proceso de creatividad, que realmente no estaba destinado a esto, pero que resultó realmente bien. Amo tanto mi apodo, como el nombre de mi blog. Espero que a ustedes también.
