Hastings: Overlooked Town on The East Coast

Hey all Hive Lovers, how is it going?

I hoped that we could be able to travel internationally again in 2021 but it seems impossible until now as the situation isn’t better and the third wave of infections just began in Viet Nam at the end of last month.

I’m glad that I can check some stunning destinations from the community, bookmark them and get ready to go soooon when this damn pandemic is over. To continue my New Zealand’ series, today I’m excited to show you a great location known as The Heart of Stunning Hawke’s Bay on the East Coast of the North Island of the country.

Te Mata Peak

The first and must-see in the area is Te Mata Peak if you travel to Hasting, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. I have visited the area numerous times during my 3-month stay here. It’s is popular attraction and the car parks are often full every time.
Absolutely magnificent view from the top and you can see the entire view of the Bay.

Car Park and the road up to the peak. We can drive up to several car parks then walk up or just drive right to the top 🤣; however be cautious and take care as the road is narrow and windy at the top.

Views taken during the fall season. There are a number of fantastic walking tracks and short hikes around Californian trees and valleys.

I came back here a couple of time on summer season and did another track aww the area turned into green 😍

It was worth the effort with stunning views all around and amazing sunset.

Craggy Range

Just another beautiful spot that we stopped by after Te Mata Peak on the way back home. The winery sits under the peak and really cool to take some photos. These pics were captures in front of the restaurant as I remember 🙂. I was extremely impressed by the architecturally designed Giants winery complex and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely try the wine here when I have a chance to visit here next time

Ocean Beach

Just 30 minutes drive from Hastings to this "Summer Sweetness". It's well-known popular beach in Hawkes Bay where everybody comes to swim in summer😍 Ocean beach itself is a nice sandy walking beachto visit and a lovely place for a picnic. I was here a few times, even though the weather wasn't ideal I still enjoyed the area. 😊
