Slow Bar Cafe Bangsaray.
(Edited)
Last weekend I visited the fishing town of Bangsaray, which is about 25km south of Pattaya city, I loved the atmosphere and all the little trendy looking cafes along the piers but never really had time to explore everything on that one day we were there so today, I headed back there, I had noticed a cafe/restaurant by one of the piers that I wanted to go back and check out, there was something attracting me to this cafe/restaurant in the way it was presenting itself from the outside.
My Thai friends didn't want to venture out with me this time only because they live here and it's nothing really exciting for them but for me there it is more exciting to discover new places, so I booked myself a taxi from Bolt Taxi which is similar to Grab Taxi but much cheaper my fare to Bangsaray town from Pattaya city was like $6 AUS a distance of 25km how convenient is that better then hiring a car or motorbike and you ride in comfort within 40 minutes I was in Bangsaray town.
I remember from last time I was there it was the middle pier where this cafe was that I wanted to check out and maybe have lunch there as, it was just after mid-day already by the time I got there. I got the taxi to drop me off at the middle pier walked down about 200 meters and there it was on the left hand side of the pier walking down the pier call the Slow Bar Bangsanay Cafe.
I knew this place was different as soon as I walked in it was like going back in a time machine it bought back memories from my childhood seeing these old black and white TV's, Stereos, Pay Phones, Dial Phones, Coke Cola Signs this place was loaded with antiques but it was all laid out in a classical way, some of the things that were here were from my grand parents, parents era.
It reminded me of the old Australia outback houses where grandma and grandpa would not throw out anything, it was like walking into a vintage museum they were the good old school tough machines and some were still out lasting all this new technology machinery. The old Olympia typewriter, Singer 8 track cartridge player and the IBM Computer all made long before I was even born all classics.
I couldn't stop myself walking around looking at all these interesting old items but I was hungry so I garbed the menu it was all in Thai but the picture talk so I ordered myself a ice coffee and spicy chicken with basil, egg and rice the meal was superb very fresh and tasty and all up cost me $7 AUS dollars how cheap is that, I was almost going to go for seconds but my eyes were wondering around this amazing cafe there was still lots more vintage items to be seen.
They really had a mixture in this cafe it was like every section of this cafe resembled some country one minute you were in California with surf boards and swings around you next you were surfing with the green hulk and then you could be relaxing on a Balinese island and it was all cheaply done but had a great effect making you feel chilled out bar by the sea.
It really did amaze me how they came across all this old stuff and how they turned it into such a cool place without looking like a junk yard, it surprised me the imagination that these people have, I think I spend about 3 hours in this cafe, I thoroughly enjoy the vibes in this cafe I felt really chilled out and could have sat there even longer was definitely worth the visit.

Hi there, @hivebuzz am moving up that ladder :)
Hi there, @ackhoo and @qurator thank you for your support :)
This place reminds me of a few vintage restaurants that we have here that use relic pieces to decorate with and use for their original purpose.
How cool to be sitting at a table that could have belonged to my grandparents, drinking from cups from my father's era, and walking around taking in all the sights. It would be impossible to tell you just how much of this I recognize and how much I have seen drifting through these mom-and-pop shops that have kitschy merchandise. This would have been a blast to look at and to sit among the antique things, and the signs are always hilarious.
What a great price on the taxi and your dinner looked delicious! Was that the egg on top? That looked interesting. As usual, you truly make such amazing posts, with pictures that are amazing and fun to look at!
