Travel Digest #1156
Introduction
Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26, presenting today's edition of #TravelDigest. I'm a fan of European cities since it has been a dream to do a Europe tour. So, for today's edition, my bias is on European cities with their awesome architecture. In our featured posts, we have a tour of Ghent, Belgium, another tour in Berlin Germany, and a small town in Bulgaria that's known for its carpets. Enjoy! Please check out the honourable mentions as well. They're also a treasure trove of awesome places to explore.
All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @pinmapple, @blocktrades, @theycallmedan and the curation trail. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

🥇 Ghent Ready for Ghent - Belgium by @leaky20
Ghent is a fairly large city in Belgium that is located directly between Brussels and Bruges, about an hours drive away from either of them. We visited Ghent in February of last year and overall we were quite pleased with the experience, even despite the dreary overcast weather. My photos give a sort of dark and ominus look to it and almost make it seem like a forboding place. But really, Ghent is anything but foreboding.

🥈 Berlin, Germany - City to City Tour 010 by @fronttowardenemy
I would later see other cities lots of buildings with statues and beautiful ordainments, but Berlin was one of the first cities where they seemed to be everywhere. So you'll have to bear with all of my photos of buildings.

🥉 Have you heard of Chiprovtsi? by @lightcaptured
Let me assume that none of you has ever heard or been to Chiprovtsi. Well, I suppose some of the Bulgarians on Hive know the name of this small town. It is very popular with the manual production of beautiful colorful carpets that were internationally famous in the past when quality was a cult and preferred to quantity and of course, people liked these specific carpets with their colors and their specific woven. In the last decade or so, according to the words of the artisans I had the chance to speak to there, 99% of their production is exported, mainly to Western Europe and the USA. Creating one carpet takes many, many days and there aren't so many rich Bulgarians, unfortunately, who could afford such am expensive decoration for their homes.
