Our winners today 🍍

🥇 Onion travel layer 1: Varanasi, India by @pjmetz

"It goes without saying that India is a sensory overload, it can be quite unbearable at times, and then be the most orgasmic experience the next. For instance, if you have ever had the displeasure of smelling decaying (human) flesh you will know that it is unforgettable. You can encounter this smell at random in the streets of Varanasi, it hits you like a left hook from Mike Tyson, five more steps and you are taken away by pungent, sweet wafts of freshly cut Boswellia sacra tree (frankensence) and Gajra (jasmine flowers)."

🥈 Cappadocia (Road trip from Istanbul and back) by @orestistrips

" As we finish our champagne we get back on the bus to drive back to Goreme. Well, I told you the adventure is not over didn't I? We get stuck in the mud in a bus overloaded like this on a terrain more slippery than soaped marble. After many attempts from the driver and a shitload of cursing (thanks Jale for translating) he decides he just can't make it. To my opinion if he was less nervous with so many helping hands around we could make it under the proper coordination but me no Turkish, he no English, and the rest being Japs it would be the best comedy ever."

🥉 [JAPAN | ep.7] ⛩️ Kinkaku-ji, Ryōan-ji & Yasaka Shrine 🎎 Kyoto by @ten-years-before

"As often in Japan, the temple is wonderful but the panorama is as well and to walk in such a landscape is a pure delight. The care is not only in the details of the constructions but also in the way they are cutting the trees, spread the flowers and plants, in the choices of colors etc... The time spent on the maintenance of such gardens must be enormous! Japanese garden philosophy is truly an amazing art."
