A temporary escape!

Something different here! Our moon in a wet sky today here in South Africa!

A gap in the three day rain and we took our little dog "Troy" for a walk!

We have been soaked here in the Western Cape Province and I want to show you some lovely scenes that we encountered on this walk.
Our little guy "Troy" has been laying around indoors for a long time and as a break in the rain appeared, we rushed him out for a quick walk in nature.
Come walk with us!

This is one of our beautiful parks settled in nature near the mountains in the winelands!
A great place to spend some time in.

At the edge of the shadow you can see Marian and little Troy setting off for a quick long walk!

A closer look at the mountain peaks!

Here below they have returned from the walk and Troy was looking for crabs in the mud pool 🤣

"Hello Daddy", Troy calls me daddy 😃

Did I tell you that it was raining for the past 3 days?
Come and take a drive on this road lol.

I got the sun behind the cloud and a crazy reflection in the wet parking area!

Some children were playing on a rope swing here!

A scene here as we left to return back home!

The cloud dog was trying to catch the goose, but she escaped!

Finally back at home, a happy little Troy after his walk!

And That's All Friends!

We are blessed with abundant nature and wildlife here and this, combined with the nearby ocean gives a paradise effect to the place. There are many seaside apartment blocks available for visitors and an International Airport 30 minutes away.
The popular wines from the area are exported worldwide and many farms have wine tasting restaurants.

Nature is prioritized here and everyone ensures that it stays in pristine conditions. Of course the rain is a great bonus to turn everything into a summer picture world.
Cape Town is at the southern tip of the African continent and visitors are always heartily welcomed.
So, if you have a bucket list, place this one near the top to visit.

Something here below to think about;

I will never moan about our roads again 🤣
That's a beautiful landscape, Zac, and the clouds over the mountain peaks look great 😀

Hahaha, luckily I am used to dodging the deep patches Hannes.
Our car wears low profile tires and I have been in situations where the water level comes up halfway to the doors, so these "little" puddles are fairly easy to negotiate.

Thank you and it was worth nipping out with the little guy!

Cheers and thanks!

Sometimes paths between farm fields are quite muddy or have deeper puddles, but I think you would only laugh about them 😊

My friend, at times we get sinkholes here that can easily swallow a house.
Now I am not saying that I can get through all of them, as at times I have gotten stuck and had to schlep the car out, but normally I am lucky.
I have always wanted a 4x4 SUV, but they cost almost as much as my house and the used ones are all buggered.

Cheers and thanks!

There are videos on YouTube where cars sink in such holes, but I thought they are fake. Maybe next time I see one I should look better 😉

I can only say this to you, especially on that bike, never just drive into a pool of water in the road thinking that it's shallow. One never knows what's in there.
We have regular incidents here where a car lost it's wheel or even both front wheels by just driving into a pool in the road!

Rather safe than sorry as they say!

Cheers and thanks!

I only drive through big puddles when I know the road, and on the bike I don't do it at all 😁

Escape to the park we did on Sunday just before the rains arrived and 35 mm overnight will leave some great big puddles everywhere.

Those puddles my previous dogs loved to romp through getting thoroughly soaked playing together, unfortunately being forced onto leads those freedoms are those of previous pets only.

So glad that you guys also got some rain and even today we were soaked here again my friend.

Over here in the parks everyone let's their dogs run around free.
The amazing thing is that there are dogs of all kinds, even imported thoroughbreds and we have not seen one dog fight here yet.
Many of the dogs head straight for the river.

Hope that your week started well, blessings to you guys and thank you for the kind tip Lady Joan!

Dogs normally don't fight on neutral land running free, they become more aggressive of each other when on leads. Personally I miss the old days when I was able to do photography while the dogs played together...

Have a great week and greetings to family Stephen.
