If I had 1000 dollars available to use on a trip, I would go with all the taste in the world to visit the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu sacred place of the Incas located on the valley of the Urubamba river, on the heights of the Andes mountains in Peru.

From the first time I knew of its existence I related it to Mount Olympus, the dwelling place of the gods, where the divine Hercules took me in a comic strip that was broadcast on television and that I watched with the emotion of my early childhood.

In Quechua language, Machu Picchu means "Old Mountain".Machu Picchu means "Old Mountain" and refers to the place where it is located, at 2430 meters above sea level, in a rocky premonitory between Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu". See Wikipedia

Si yo tuviera 1000 dólares disponibles para utilizar en un viaje, con todo el gusto del mundo iría a conocer el Santuario Histórico de Machu Picchu, lugar sagrado de los incas ubicado sobre el valle del río Urubamba, en las alturas de las montañas de los Andes en Perú.

Desde la primera vez que supe de su existencia la relacioné con el Monte Olimpo, morada que habitaban los dioses, adonde me llevaba el divino Hércules en una tira cómica que transmitían por televisión y que yo veía con la emoción de mi primera infancia.

I am attracted by the fact that these ruins, after so many centuries, are still described as a masterpiece of architecture and human engineering. It subjugates me to draw with my fingers the mantle of legend that has been interwoven among its stones, streets, history, fogs, mysteries.

I would love to go to Machu Picchu because it represents my particular Mount Olympus. Because I imagine it as a fascinating temple in which I would like to read the remote history of the Inca gods that has been kept between heaven and earth.

Me atrae que estas ruinas, después de tantos siglos, sigan siendo calificadas como una obra maestra de la arquitectura y la ingeniería humana. Me subyuga descorrer con mis dedos el manto de leyenda que se ha ido entretejiendo entre sus piedras, calles, historia, nieblas, misterios.

Me encantaría ir a Machu Picchu porque él representa mi Monte Olimpo particular. Porque lo imagino como un templo fascinante en el que me gustaría leer la historia remota de los dioses incas que ha quedado guardada entre el cielo y la tierra.

Como han visto en este cuadro, ya con estos aspectos del viaje tendríamos gastados los $1000. Aclaro que me ahorraría el costo de alojamiento en hoteles ya que tengo familiares y amigos en Lima y Cusco, ciudadanos venezolanos que han emigrado al Perú y que me acogerían durante mi viaje.
