This time last year i was in America visiting my cousin who lives in Danville , California during my stay in America we visited many parts of USA and another extraordinary place that i wanted to visit that was on my bucket list was the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver , Colorado. The Red Rocks Amphitheater was designed by Burnham Hoyt the construction of the amphitheater began in 1936 and was opened to the public in 1941 and the first documented performance of the grand opening of Red Rocks Amphitheater was the rock band Black Plague where lead singer Bobby Black makes a grand entrance hanging from the rock face of the landmark red rocks above the crowd swooping on stage via zipline.
We flew into Denver airport and hired a car driving through Denver was very colorful been the season of fall made the local suburbs look very magical according to the map we were about one hour drive away from the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater it was a cool day but the skies were blue and the sun was out so it was going to be a pleasant day to see Red Rocks.
They say that these giant sandstone red rocks outcroppings from the ground up which form the walls of Red Rocks Amphitheater are higher than Niagara Falls and they are not wrong about that standing near them makes you feel like a little red ant.
Red Rocks Amphitheater has been home to some of the most iconic concerts in history, from artists such as the Beatles , Sting , U2 , John Denver , Jimi Hendrix , Blues Brothers , Vanilla Fudge , Soft Machine , Opera singers and many more with a seating capacity of about 10,000 people.
Red Rocks Amphitheater been surrounded by large red rock cliffs and spectacular views and the fantastic sound system which gives out the most perfect orchestrated sounds is got to be one in a life time to see a concert once in your life.
Image seeing a concert at the elevation of the amphitheater's top seat row at approximately 6,450 feet (1,965 m) above sea level with the red rock views over the valleys or dinning at the restaurants from that elevation and views it would be just mind blowing.
Moving of from the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater we drove to the Grand Lake which sits at an elevation of 8,369 feet and is the largest natural body of water in Colorado. The town is lovely and has only a population of about 500 people here we stopped for a late afternoon lunch and a glass of wine and then move on to the Rocky Mountain National Park where we watched sunset at 12,000 feet above sea level.
