Lake Tahoe and Cabin on American River , California.

About a week ago i wrote about our stay on the American river in Coloma Valley , California today i like to show you a little bit more of our walks along this beautiful clear fresh water river and i must admit this river water was so refreshing to drink it clinched the thirst very well as we were marking our way downstream.

This American River is about 200 km long it starts from the high lands of Sierra Nevada flowing down to Lake Tahoe which is near to where we were staying and from Lake Tahoe it flows down to the east side of Sacramento but of course we were only going to walk about couple of kilometer or so just to enjoy the beautiful nature along this amazing river.

We were just all in full adrenaline gear and we all just felt that this was just to good to be true as if we were all in dreamland the crispy sounds of the river flowing , water pounding against the rocks the smell of the pine forest and the sun rays shining down on us just enough to keep us warm and comfortable we just really wanted to keep walking and enjoy every step we took along this river.

My wife and myself felt sad for a moment that this was going to be our last walk along this American river and we were going to miss these walks that we had been doing everyday for the week while staying in this amazing cabin but i knew that we still had more amazing places to move on to the next morning we were going to head off to Lake Tahoe where this river flows into so it was farewell to our cabin till we meet again.

lt-12.jpg

lt-13.jpg

The next morning we were all packed up ready to go and on our way to Lake Tahoe which is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountains it has great white sand beaches around the lake and is also a great ski resort for the keen skiers in the winter seasons but for now it wasn't snow season and we were going to enjoy the fresh water beaches and sunset over the valley.

Lake Tahoe is a all year round destination with winter and summer activities for adventurers who like to climb the mountains , jet skiing around the lake , boating around the lake and throw a fishing line in smell the pine scented atmosphere or just be the casual traveler on the easy going there are honestly endless things you can do at this beautiful Tahoe Lake.

Unfortunately we were only going to be in Lake Tahoe for the day enjoy a bit of swimming in the fresh water lake and see the sunset from above the lake on our way home back to Danville but i certainly would have loved to spend more time at Tahoe Lake this place is truly mind blowing , incredible, extraordinary and many more words i could use to describe the sheer beauty of Lake Tahoe and we were not disappointed with the beauty of the sunset over the lake.

Oh wow, this looks superbly beautiful! I could walk around those woods for an eternity, and I could just get lost in its beauty. Hell, you could lock me up in that cabin in the woods, and I wouldn't mind one bit! The lake looks gorgeous too, and is that a dock on the island, I see there? ❤️

Give me a good internet connection in that cabin, and a lifetime's supply of food rations, and you bet I'd spend the rest of my life there XD

Lol, I wished I could've been there before the Covid crisis. Lockdown would've been so much more exciting if I'm sitting here, out in the beautiful wilderness away from silly humans 😆

Haha, happy you. That sounds like a pretty nice place to be. Thankfully, I'm quite a bit outside the concrete jungle too, in a small township called Selayang in Malaysia. It's a bit hilly and foresty around here, with a nice breeze too 😄

Malaysia ok then that's a nice country to be living in especially if your more out were you are it can be very lush green and healthy for you.

It certainly is, and I'm really happy to be somewhere in between the middle of the wilderness, and some resemblance of modern society 😁. Going to a big city like Kuala Lumpur (our capital, and largest city), it can feel a bit... stuffy and unhealthy. It's great to be around nature!

Yes agree i am in that same position as you are and rather love where i am living a little far from modern society but not to far it's just perfect 😊

All going well we off to visit a region in the mountains in October a bit further afield. Somewhere different makes one get excited, we have not been in that region for many years.

It is within our province, which currently under lock down one may only travel in.
