Crystal Bay Beach in Koh Samui.
Let me introduce to you a little piece of heaven on earth called Crystal Bay Beach in Koh Samui , i done this trip just over four years ago and have been wanting to tell you about this paradise since , i started on hive but i was not able to locate these photos till only recently that i came across them hidden on a memory stick which i had forgotten about , i was never really organized four years ago in keeping photos in proper files till now but am so glad i found them and am looking forward in sharing my vacation on Koh Samui Island starting with this amazing paradise called Crystal Bay Beach.
When my wife and myself starting talking about taking a vacation we had a couple of things in mind we both wanted to be on a smaller beautiful blue crystal water beach hidden away from the main tourist areas but not totally been away from civilization and with a island like Koh Samui surrounded by the Gulf of Thailand we were sure to find what we were looking for and so we did , this been Crystal Bay Beach it had some great reviews of people that had been there saying it was like been on your own private beach exactly what we were wanting and looking for.
We needed no more convincing this was going to be our first holiday on Koh Samui Island and we wanted to get the real feel of this tropical island we booked Silver Beach Resort which was located in the center of Crystal Bay Beach giving us great views from either side of the pool and the breakfast table in the mornings. We booked through agoda.com and got a great deal for 5 nights a room by the pool overlooking Crystal Bay Beach was just perfect.
I remember arriving at Crystal Bay Beach , i felt like i was James Bond been greeted by all these lovely Thai ladies dressed in these colorful Hawaiian outfits ready to pamper us and make you feel at home and it's exactly how it turned out to be the staff were around us as if we were VIP guests they were so helpful and polite the food and service was five star and the location of this beach resort nestled in between these two mountains and huge boulders on either side of the beach was incredible just as we had imagine it would be.
What made Crystal Bay Beach look more homely and tropical was the way it was hidden from the tourist , it wasn't overcrowded there were about five smallest resorts that all looked like private houses and this is what gave this little paradise the peacefulness and tranquility you really felt like it was your own private house and beach.
I am one who loves little beaches with lots of character secluded from crowds and with great rock formations and Crystal Bay Beach ticked all those boxes. I just had to go and explore these rock formations , i could see this shining object from my breakfast table in the mornings up in the rocks and it made me curious was more reason to go and explore these rocks as i approached closer to this big rock which was sitting up higher then the rest of the rocks i noticed a opening in the rock which had this golden Buddha head placed in this rock how amazing was this the Holy Buddha looking over Crystal Bay Beach no wonder it felt so safe and peaceful here.
It was a bit of a encounter juggling which rock to jump on and climb to get to this Golden Buddha Head but at the end it was worth the effort and i even came across a interesting colorful creature which i think was some sort of Centipede i just let him get on his way didn't want to get to close or mess with him some of these Centipede's , i heard can be dangerous.
The Crystal Bay Beach and the way the resorts were sent up would be the perfect getaway for couples , for a romantic honeymoon , a fun family trip or getting away from it all with friends. If you were looking for a party beach then this would not be for you but in saying that you are not far away at all from the party beach atmosphere which are only a short drive from Crystal Bay Beach to either Lamai Beach or Chaweng Beach was lots of partying going on there.
Koh Samui Island itself has lots of great adventures you can get into and enjoy but for our first week on Koh Samui we were quite happy to be staying on the most beautiful beach on Koh Samui and enjoy the clear crystal blue waters the tropical surrounding and the friendly birds that came to greet us every morning at breakfast ☺️

I´ve been there as well 11 years ago. The Beaches in Thailand are simply amazing. Would love to swim in that water now.
Seriously that is awesome to know that you experienced this beautiful beach it was really an absolutely amazing beach i had planned a trip back to Koh Samui and Phuket October this year but had to cancel the trip due to covid-19 a real bummer but i will get back there again in the near future 👍

Heaven on earth is how I would describe this, judging from the photos @kohsamui99! No crowds, crystal clear waters certainly makes this a tropical paradise. Thank goodness you found the photos as you now have those memories forever stored here on Hive! How I'd love to go to this place!
