Bophut Beach , Fisherman's Village , Koh Samui.
This is a continuation from our month long vacation in Koh Samui , Thailand our first week was spend on one of the most amazing beaches on Koh Samui Island called Crystal Bay Beach after been spoiled by the staff from the Silver Beach Resort where we were staying , it was time to move onto another location of the island and this was going to be at Baan Bophut Beach Resort on the beach road of Fisherman's Village , Bophut we booked there for a week the resort was right across the road from Bophut Beach was going to be another great beach front view to enjoy.
Fisherman's Village in Bophut was about 30 minutes away from the main tourist area of Chaweng beach but that was not going to worry us just driving into Fisherman's Village , i could feel lots of cool and vibrant experiences coming on. This village was once home to a thriving fishing community but they since have now moved on to other areas of the island.
The village has now become a thriving tourist area with still lots of rustic style wooden shops and houses remaining , running along the narrow alleys still giving the village that great old atmosphere look but also the main road called Walking Street running along side the beach has many trendy restaurants , coffee shops , boutique stores and a selection of hotels lining the narrow Beach Road.
Many of the trendy restaurants and coffee shops are opened up at the back were you can sit either on the beach front on the chairs and soft cushions provide by the restaurants which was quite romantic or sit in the shop itself giving you great refreshing sea views looking across to Koh Phangan island which is known by many tourist around the world to be one of the best full moon party islands in Thailand.
From the resort we were staying at , it was a five minute walk to our favorite restaurant the Coco Tams which we became very acquainted with and is one of the most famous beach restaurants on Bophut Beach it had the real tropical atmosphere set up the way it was built , simply but looked apart and had the best coffee and the best morning views for a great western style breakfast every morning.
We absolutely loved coming here in the mornings for coffee and breakfast to start of our day but of cause there were lots of other cool and vibrant places to go here especially on days where the stalls are set up at the community mall, The Wharf, selling variety of stuff and many interesting foods and drinks. I recommend The Shack for quality steaks/cuts of meat or fish. Bar Barguette was great with both their coffee, light foods and outdoor ambiance all to be found on Walking Street. The same can be said with the popular hot-spot bar right in front of Coco Tam's.
If you wanted to get adventurous and take out a jet ski , fly board , banana boat or go out on a tour to a jungle maybe waterfalls or other activities there were many to choose from the vendors along the beach all providing these services.
We found Coco Tams had another bar/restaurant a little up further from the Coco Tam's breakfast bar and this part of Coco Tam's became more alive at night they would layout there colorful bean bags and tables along the beach front in a very romantic way and you could eat and drink on the beach enjoy the moonlight and on some days they even had a fire show performances going on.
Fisherman’s village is a must see full of bars, restaurants , shops and street foods it’s a vibrant place with a great atmosphere and a great clean beach we really enjoyed our time at Fisherman’s Village , markets were great lots of different things to buy and some of the best restaurants to eat at. It's quite a happening place ☺️
And a Halloween sky to finish this post of as we were there in the Halloween month 😱
