The multicultural Superkilen Park in Nørrebro district, in Copenhagen - great, modern design and an important social initiative / Multikulturowy park Superkilen w Kopenhadze - świetny, nowoczesny design i ważna inicjatywa społeczna

Danish design is often a combination of minimalism and modernity. This is also the case with the Superkilen park in Copenhagen. In one part of it, someone just painted a lot of warped white lines on the asphalt, but it's done this way that it looks awesome while being very functional at the same time. The lines make up many paths or slides. The kids have a lot of fun thanks to them. Można tam też znaleźć marokańską fontannę i tureckie ławeczki. You can also find a Moroccan fountain and Turkish benches there. Japanese cherry blossoms add charm to this place.

Duński design to często połączenie minimalizmu i nowoczesności. Tak jest również w przypadku parku Superkilen w Kopenhadze. W jednej z jego części ktoś po prostu namalował wiele pozakrzywianych białych lini na asfalcie, ale jest to zrobione w taki sposób, że wygląda niesamowicie, a jednocześnie jest bardzo funkcjonalne. Linie tworzą wiele ścieżek, czy też torów do zjeżdżania. Dzieciaki mają dzięki nim dużo frajdy. Można tam też znaleźć marokańską fontannę i tureckie ławeczki. Uroku temu miejscu dodają japońskie kwiaty wiśni.

The park is located in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, a district in the city center where people of over 60 nationalities live. Due to such a large variety of people, there were often conflicts there, and the neighborhood was badly neglected. A project was invented to integrate residents by creating a friendly space for them, in which there will be various cultural accents. The revitalization and creation of the Superkilen park have been undertaken by three design offices: Superflex, BIG, and Topotek1. The residents of the park also took part in designing the park.

Park znajduje się w dzielnicy Nørrebro w Kopenhadze, to dzielnica w centrum miasta, w której żyją mieszkańcy ponad 60 narodowości. Ze względu na tak dużą różnorodność ludzi dochodziło tam często do konfliktów, a przestrzeń była mocno zaniedbana. Powstał projekt integracji mieszkańców za pomocą stworzenia im przyjaznej przestrzeni, w której będą się znajdować różne akcenty kulturowe. Rewitalizacji i stworzenia parku Superkilen podjęły się trzy biura projektowe: Superflex, BIG i Topotek1. W projektowaniu parku brali także udział jego mieszkańcy.

I came to Superkillen Park with my friend and her little son. I got to know this area right away because once I got lost here at night when we were returning on our bikes from the center of Copenhagen to the suburbs. I was following my friend, and at one point I concentrated so much on admiring the architecture of Copenhagen that my friend turned into a street, and I missed it and it took about 10 minutes to realize that she was gone. Unfortunately, my phone ran out and I couldn't contact her. Not knowing what to do and where I am, I looked into a nearby store and a man in a turban explained to me how to get to a certain place. Fortunately, soon after turning into a few more streets, I noticed a friend who was waiting for me and worried about my disappearance.

Przyjechałam do Parku Superkillen z koleżanką i jej synkiem. Od razu poznałam tą okolicę, bo kiedyś zgubiłam się tu w nocy, gdy wracałyśmy na rowerach z centrum Kopenhagi na przedmieścia. Jechałam za koleżanką, a w pewnym momencie tak się skoncentrowałam na podziwianiu architektury Kopenhagi, że koleżanka skręciła w jakąś uliczkę, a ja to przegapiłam i dopiero po ok. 10 minutach zorientowałam się, że jej nie ma. Niestety rozładował mi się telefon i nie mogłam się z nią skontaktować. Nie wiedząc co robić i gdzie jestem, zajrzałam do pobliskiego sklepu i mężczyzna w turbanie wytłumaczył mi jak dojechać w określone miejsce. Na szczęście niedługo później, po skręceniu w kilka kolejnych uliczek zauważyłam koleżankę, która czekała na mnie i się niepokoiła moim zniknięciem.

What draws attention are various elements referring to other cultures, such as this slide in the shape of an exotic elephant with a red bedspread and a gold pattern. There are many such accents. You can also see here, among others Brazilian bar stools under Chinese palm trees, Bulgarian picnic tables as well as Argentinian grill tables, benches from Germany and Switzerland, Romanian stools as well as Argentinian grill tables. A great attraction is a Japanese octopus, which is a playground for children. And also a boxing ring that you can see in the photo below.

To co zwraca uwagę to różne elementy nawiązujące do innych kultur, jak ta zjeżdżalnia w kształcie egzotycznego słonia z czerwoną narzutą i złotym wzorkiem. Dużo jest takich akcentów. Można tu też zobaczyć mi.in. brazylijskie stołki barowe, chińskie drzewa palmowe, bułgarskie stoliki piknikowe, rumuńskie stołki, ławki z Niemiec i Szwajcarii, a także argentyńskie stoły grillowe. Dużą atrakcję stanowi japońska ośmiornica będąca miejscem zabaw dla dzieci. A także taki ring bokserski, jaki możecie zobaczyć na zdjęciu poniżej.

Three tons of land from Palestine has also been collected there. It was the initiative of two Palestinian teenagers who never had a chance to touch the land of their own country. I think it is heart-warming that there are even such symbolic references to the country where the people of Nørrebro come from.

Zgromadzono tam także trzy tony ziemi z Palestyny. Była to inicjatywa dwóch nastolatek z Palestyny, które nigdy nie miały okazji dotknąć ziemi pochodzącej z och kraju. Myślę, że to bardzo wzruszające, że znalazły się tam nawet takie symboliczne odniesienia do kraju z którego pochodzą mieszkańcy Nørrebro.

Next to the traditional Danish brick blocks, there is an interesting graphite building, covered with a lime vine and with modern stairs.

Obok tradycyjnych duńskich ceglastych bloków znajduje się ciekawy granitowy budynek, porośnięty limonkowym pnączem i z nowoczesnymi schodami.

Everyone can feel at ease here, like this girl skating on a hijab. All in all, this asphalt square is a bit like a skate park. There is a hill to the side, where you can go down, and in many places the asphalt is undulating, creating small pebbles. White lines allow you to use the space even better by practicing more precise driving.

Każdy może czuć się tu swobodnie, jak ta dziewczynka jeżdżąca na rolkach w hidżabie. W sumie ten asfaltowy plac przypomina trochę skatepark. Z boku ma górkę, w której można zjechać na dół, a w wielu miejscach asfalt faluje tworząc małe pagurki. Białe linie pozwalają na jeszcze lepsze wykorzystanie przestrzeni, poprzez ćwiczenie większej precyzji przejazdu.

There are many places in the park where you can just sit and chat, play checkers, or board games. Meet new people and integrate with them. I really like the idea of this place and its realization.

Na terenie parku znajduje się dużo miejsc, gdzie można po prostu usiąść i pogadać, pograć w warcaby, czy gry planszowe. Poznawać nowych ludzi, integrować się z nimi. Bardzo podoba mi się idea tego miejsca i jego wykonanie.
