2000 Hive contest to celebrate reaching 1000 Travel Digests

Six months after joining the other blockchain in 2019, I was introduced to Pinmapple by The Terminal Community staff. Being a redfish in their Redfish Rally Monthly Delegation Program, I experienced for the first time what Pinmapple was, how easy it was to incorporate it into my travel posts.

However, I only utilized it once. I didn't realize how powerful the site was for connecting members through travel and travel-related content.

Pinmapple accumulates all Hive members' posts that desire to be included on the map in one place. That way, others who wish to find out information about a particular place before they journey there or just for information can click on the map, and the link to the author's post will be available to visit.

So, instead of doing this...

Why not do this...

What is that, you ask? It's the map from PINMAPPLE with a PIN (or designation) indicated in blue all my posts I added that contains a location code before publishing. It's a visual interpretation of my travel posts published on Hive. All you have to do is hover over the pinned points. My post will become visible with the link to it.

I must tell you I'm not a world traveler, so I've only pinned four (4) destinations to the map. But that doesn't mean I can't include destinations near me that may be of interest. You never know who may want to travel to your area and visit your favorite places.

According to the Pinmapple site, if you want to have your post on the map, all you have to do is follow these few simple steps:

  • Go to Pinmapple: https://pinmapple.com
  • Click the "GET CODE" button
  • Click on the map where your post should be
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and name your location
  • Copy and paste the generated code in your post

A few days ago, I located another user's pin on Pinmapple and read the content. The post served to confirm my research on the country I wanted to visit. The author had actually visited the country and the various sites I've always included on my bucket list. He offered a truthful review of the ruins and must-visit tourist places. This type of collaboration all in one place is an awesome initiative, whose recent proposal I just voted for.

So pin your travel destinations or bucket lists with valuable information today to Pinmapple so others can find your posts and enjoy. Who knows? You may gain a new acquaintance and share some travel stories.

Whenever you add the code generated by Pinmapple to your post before publishing, you won't be able to see the pinned location or code in any Preview. But don't worry, your location has been sent to Pinmapple. Once published, the team will visit your post and leave you a nice message about their visit.

The message will also information you that you have your own profile map. Just click the link given to visit it. You'll see all your future pinned posts with locations.

This is my latest pin to the world map. My post related to the Pinmapple "If I had USD 1000 Contest*" My destination is the country of Peru:

FROM LIMA ; CUSCO ; TO MACHU PICCHU - WONDERS TO BEHOLD IN PERU | Pinmapple If I had $1000 Contest

Pinmapple is easy to use, so I have not had numerous occasions to interact with the Pinmapple support team. However, I have heard from numerous others on Hive they are extremely professional in their dealings with all members and helpful. That's valuable information to know in case I need assistance. I'm sure I will as I pin more locations to the map.

For now, I only utilize the desktop version of Pinmapple as I have no need to use the mobile app.
