Beachin
Early 2018, I saw this resort online and thought I'd want to visit here and just bring an iPad (which I was also dreaming about at that time lol) and just chill there. I was never able to do that and it was just this year that I was finally able to!
It's Club Samal Resort located in Samal island which is just in front of the busy city of Davao. It's easy to go to which is one of the reasons why it's just chill here.
I used my Fuji XT4 with the 23mm f/2 lens here and I just realized it's also good with portraits :D. They were sharp and nice.
The day tour included lunch which was quite delicious. They don't have a lot in their menu although I find it quite pricey as well. I like their pizza though.
This is upstairs in their dining area. Most of the ones I see here are working men and women (on vacation) or people doing conferences. There are families with their kids too but only like 2 or 3 when we went there so it's not the annoying type of resort where it's full of kids screaming.
There are no words to describe how much I hate resorts (or any places in general) that are full of kids. Not only they will be annoying and noisy af but they will most likely have their parents and other relatives as well that are really judgmental and will stare at you cos they can't mind their ugly businesses. At least here in my place people are like that. :D
The beach side is also pretty chill af although the water isn't that great. There were some seaweeds or whatever that I didn't like. Still really good if you just wanna enjoy the sun and some waves and fall asleep there or whatever.

Man I haven’t been on a proper vacation in years. I really need one right now but I have to complete the whole education ritual by finishing college. Oh well.
Did you take those shots of the views? Cause they’re really cool. I really like the beach view especially👌🏽. It looks like a nice place to chill without the seaweeds of course.
Are you gonna finish college soon? If not, then why wait!! Just fuck it and go somewhere haha. Mental health needs to be taken care of too. But if you can wait, then it will be worth it in the end. I also can’t imagine going on a vacation with all those paperworks in the back of your mind. It will suck.

Seaweeds never make me happy either, the more reason to enjoy the pool when available :) It's good to have options haha.

Haha yeah they’re always scary to me, it’s like something else is there waiting to come out anytime 🫣😬. That’s probably why they had to make the pool look nice and photography worthy haha

Great place in Samal!! They seem to have white sand beaches though they're not really powdery or fine. Still, the ambiance is just the place to be for relaxation 👌
Yeah they aren't powdery like other places but still nice especially those resorts at the back of the island that face the pacific... Most of them have crystal clear waters and not much seaweeds really but they are just not that easy to travel to lol.
I get you with the part of having lots of noisy kids in the resorts. That's the main reason why I always try to stay away from this kind of places, lol. But the view you got to enjoy, along with the pool arena that looks crazy, I think it was worth it in the end 😊
Haha yeah I mean there are also times where we don't care or actually like the places that have many people so there's like a fun vibe but if you want to chill then it really can piss you off if there are noises lol. But yeah, still worth it anyway! :D
I'm more of a chill person so I prefer solitude or not so crowded places. But i think it's worth the "effort" once in a while if there is no chance to see such a beautiful place other than with lots of noisy kids in the background lol
@hiddenblade told me there are some resorts which don't allow kids, lol, good business decision.

Beautiful hotel and beach!! Oh, yes, sometimes resorts are full of kids, lol. It's great that this hotel wasn't the case, hehe. I think nowadays you can find many of them only for adults. Anyway, you had a great experience in a very beautiful place!! Thanks for sharing this!
