Playa San Marcos Lava Rock Artist + Beach and Chapel - Hidden Spot Tenerife

We drove around the Northern Coast of Tenerife and had some time to kill and looked at the map for inspiration. We came across Playa San Marcos with a small lava sand beach, cute little harbor with couple of restaurants overlooking the bay.

But the first thing we noticed after we parked the car was this artist chiseling away on an oval lava rock, crafting a face into it. So cool! He even invited us into his house and bedroom - the bed was lined with taxidermied animals. A bit creepy but at the same time pretty neat - maybe they keep bad dreams away?
