"Identify the molecule" league. Progress so far. “Molecule of the Year” stage is coming
(Myoglobin. It's the protein carrying oxygen in the muscle tissue of vertebrate. It was chosen as the emblem for the league 'cause is was the first protein with its three-dimensional structure/atomic structure revealed in 1958. The image was created by me with the help of PyMol - open source tool for molecular visualization/exploration. PDB-file was obtained from PDB. You can see a heme at the center of the molecule)
In this post I‘d like to share some results and news about "Identify the molecule" league.

that “Molecule of the Year” stage is supposed to happen in October, 2020, because I didn’t provide the riddles for some weeks in September/October, 2019,
I’d like “The molecule of the Year” stage to happen this week (September 5), ‘cause the league started roughly 1 year ago (in August 31, 2019) and I didn’t provide the riddles for quite a lot of weeks thereafter anyway (so that we would need to delay it even more to compensate for the missing weeks).
