Dissolving (poetry + art)

I'm dressed in solitude, but not alone-
on these never-ending paths that I roam.

Picking up each piece of myself I lost-
in every time and space that we crossed.

I find myself in all these reflections,
releasing thoughts of any transgressions.

Deeper the connection, the more I see,
dissolving the lines between you and me.

So many faces all playing their role,
but we could never really hide our soul.

For me, this incredibly creative poem evokes the sorrow of past desires that were unfulfilled - as if something was missing that I hadn't done (that could've been done). The word 'reflections' resonated like a distant bell - calling me to an ever so distant future that becomes more obscure with more blurred 'connections' as time passes by.

Perhaps we've done it all before and we're just echoing throughout time.

Sad, but true. Everyone puts on a charade instead of being themselves. Nicely penned.
