Disc?

My first thought: the disc in my head.

I assume all I ever learned is still saved on it but at times it's hard to find it back. It's possible ot's broke but I think the disc is fine and the machine is the problem. Pity I cannot easily switch my body for a new one but I guess it is as it is and I am not fond of doctors. I doubt it's worth to send me to the service and fix some wires if it can be fixed at all.

My kid likes these discs.
These little ones never became popular. What lasts forever will never be in a society that is build on buying and wasting. What lasts forever is bad for the economy. What if we all stop buying? I read it will take about three years till the economy is healthy again after the lock down. Who is fooling who? The economy was already bad for at least 15-20 years! Many countries are bankrupt. Dollars and Euro are extra printed to keep up appearances. The lockdown is a great excuse. Suddenly the lock down did this.

The discs are there and so is the player.
"Why do you have it" I asked the kid.

"Because he collects old stuff", the youngest answers.

Well, it's still good, does it's job although it seems to make a hell of a noise.

"You can't hear it if you listen to the music", the kid says.

What counts is it does it's job. It's old just like me but as long as we do our job we add something good to at least one person's life.
