Thoughts on My Creator

I am a simple woman and I bear no earthly significance to the powers that be. I am, for all intents and purposes, obscure and unknown. I am content with remaining so. The Creator formed me in the quiet recess of my mother's womb.

So many things have happened in this lifetime, sparing me from death and misfortune. As I age, I, like wiser men before, have discovered that the more I know, the less I realize I truly do not comprehend.

I know my life is of great worth to at least One. A cross once bore His blood to provide redemption for my soul. This knowledge changed me; eternally.

Each day I awake knowing that I am blessed. I feel the expectation of something good pending. My prayers reach God's ears and He provides our needs.

Life has not been all smiles and roses. Those who know me intimately remember the decades of domestic abuse I endured. They can recall my spouse's infidelities and they witnessed my tears. I no longer experience pain or sorrow over this stormy past. Instead, I look forward to each tomorrow, even if it is difficult.
