The Red Fox Theme

When I see a red fox I think of my daughter-in-law. She picked foxes for her nursery theme for my grandson, Jasper years ago. She bought stuffed animals, lamps, blankets, sleepers, pictures and toys. The baby lived in a den.

Jasper is the little one. The tall, handsome one is my oldest son. His wife's so cool she has to wear 😎.This picture belongs to Jasper's mom and was taken on Halloween 2021.

Jasper ended up not being that partial to stuffed animals, unlike his older brother, Christopher. Chris is my son's oldest child. I have a special bond with him, or I did when he was younger. He loves his video games now. Who has time for Gramma now? Chris is eleven years old this year. Turn around and he will be 13! I can't believe how time slips by!

Still, every fox I see connects me to Jasper, just because. Jasper just turned seven years old. His mom texted today and asked if Jeff and me can keep the boys Saturday because they have a concert to go to in Pittsburgh. Jeff has been working out of town installing lasers in Detroit all by himself. His co-worker who was supposed to help has a mild case of covid so he's home. I don't know whatJeff will want to do this weekend after all this work. He may just want to relax. I'll give him the opportunity to voice his opinion. I'd love to see the boys and to bring them to church.

It's only Wednesday and a lot can happen in a few days. Today I'm off work. My Botox injections for migraine were scheduled for this morning. I get them every three months.

It was a challenging time getting out of the driveway. I had forgotten about my car having snow on it because I work from home now and seldom drive. I left the house early to walk out to the car and locked the house door. As I walked towards the car, I saw there was 3 inches or more of snow crusted onto the front and back windows of my car. I tried, unsuccessfully, to unlock the trunk where I knew my car snow brush was. It was crusted shut. I checked my old car's trunk that I'm going to be having hauled off to the junk, but I had removed the snow brush from there and put it in the newer used car in the trunk.

Fortunately, I had a pair of gloves in the car and I put them on, then began using my hands and forearms to push the snow off the front and back windows. This was no small feat and it ate up the extra 15 minutes of wiggle room that I had to get to my appointment in plenty of time.

By the time I was done I cleared off the windows and had wet coat sleeves and the sweater sleeves underneath were wet, too. I didn't have time to deal with anything other than to drive to my appointment since all my spare time was gone.

I put the address in Google Maps and left. Typically, Jeff's here and takes me for my Botox treatments. That is because sometimes they trigger a migraine, or other symptoms. Once I became violently sick to my stomach before we even left the parking lot.

My Maps directions were slightly off and the navigation took me behind the hospital emergency room and I was dealing with a one-way street to approach the correct parking lot. I made my way around to the hospital parking lot and there were no empty parking spots.

I ended up having to park somewhere where I shouldn't have parked; by the hospital engineers parking lot and I left , walking fast, and hoping I wouldn't get ticketed. I had to walk really fast because my appointment was at 10:15 and I was already a few minutes late.

As I was pulling my disposable mask out of a ziplock bag filled with Bible tracts, a handful of tracts fell on the ground... right in front of the hospital double doors. I scrambled to pick them up and was now holding up an elderly gentleman's way in. He pointed out some tracts that I had missed and I made sure that he didn't try to bend over to pick them up. I handed him one in gratitude and he wished me a blessed Christmas. Some people are just nice people.

My left shoulder has been really tense this past month. I don't allow the neurologist to inject Botox between my eyes any longer having discovered that the injection between my eyes causes my right eyelid to droop; making me appear angry. Instead, she injects the additional medication into whatever area would benefit most. Today it was the shoulder I'm hoping that the extra Botox relaxes my shoulder completely. Happily, I did not get violently ill today. I accomplished what I had to and the rest of my day is at my leisure.

Wow! That was a tense read, full of drama and suspense! And it started off so gentle! I was right there with you trying to get that car cleared of snow!

I hope your injections give you some relief.

Thank you, my friend! That will be the ultimate happy ending. So far, the shoulder feels a bit better today and I even got a 20 minute workout on my treadmill last night. I appreciate you stopping by!

Thank you for reading. My car is working well now. All the snow melted because we had rain last night and I was able to access my snow brush for the next snow storm!

The baby lived in a den.

lol!

But that day sounds pretty awful. I gather you like to be on time, and all these delays must have been very stressful. Have you recovered? How is your shoulder.

And thank goodness for people who are just nice. You are clearly one of them.

I have recovered, thank you, and yes, punctuality was drilled into me as a child. Unfortunately, the shoulder is still painful and I think I'll break out the cupping set I bought last year and have Jeff apply some to this area. 🙏 thanks for reading and commenting.
