If this morning addition of Janelle News were hot off the press the headline would read, Janelle's Father transported to Erie Hospital from Warren, Pennsylvania to Upgrade Care to Covid Heart Unit

Dad is going on week two of his inpatient stay. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and tested positive for Covid19 over a week ago. With the development of the pneumonia he experienced afib and was transported at night to a hospital two and a half hours away from his home and his wife. She tested negative for covid. Fortunately her adult daughter drove from Charlotte, North Carolina to be near her and comfort her while Dad is inpatient. She's never been separated from Dad since they got together for very long. These are truly trying times when you cannot visit for all involved, but more trying for the aging ill. We drove to Erie Saturday so I could hand deliver to the front desk photos of all of us and words of encouragement and scripture. Nurses made an encouraging wall for him of them and took a photo of him for us. We were so happy to see him smile. His current issue is his oxygen levels are not good enough to release him and he has grown discouraged.

Article two would say Janelle Becomes Foster Mom to Sick, Abandoned Kitten from Florida. My nephew found her while on break from his over the road trucking job. He leases a big rig. He found her a no kill shelter then immediately felt remorse abandoning her so he vowed to make sure she was okay. He took on her veterinary bills. He set up a foster home for the next few months since he was taking on a new trainee. The girl fell through. Four months was longer than she could commit to.

I adore my sweet, soft hearted nephew who turned 29 on 11/15. He picked her up at the shelter with medication for kennel cough and an eye infection. I have a baby complete with the night feedings and potty breaks. Sleep is hard to keep up with, but Leia is a sweet baby.

I'm tired and ready for the evening edition of the news.

I hope you are all well. Take care.

Wow. That is some crazy morning news. I hope your dad will be well soon!
And luckily, kitties grow up pretty fast. Soon, you can sleep again.
Big hugs to you!

Hi @mariannewest! Thank you so much. Dad is showing some improvement. The kitty is such a cutie pie and I really don't mind since it's saving her life from the streets. I hope all is well for you.

He was not happy this weekend after this lengthy stay and us kids teamed up to pick a day to call him. He can't hardly speak so too many calls are too hard. One day at a time.

I am sure that is going to feel good. Even a short call. Just so he knows that people care...

I hope your dad feels better soon! It was kind of you to take on the kitten. I love cats, although we have too many right now.
