5 Minute Freewrite: Sunday - Prompt: old socks

Once upon a time there were two stinking socks and nobody wanted to go near them because of their bad smell. They felt isolated from the others but nobody dared to confess the reason why they did not go near them, because on one occasion another sock told them that they should have more personal hygiene and received a blow as a reward.

These stinking socks were twin brothers and were usually in a bad mood, they felt sad and friendless deep down, so the reason for their character. Some time passed by and they were still as bad-smelling, but something happened that made them change their routine; in the drawer where they lived, they put a new pair of socks, their smell was fresh and they looked so new that they felt ashamed; they were old, with some holes, and also they had so much time without a bath.

The two old socks decided to be placed near the laundry room, so that their owner could see them and clean them, to their pleasant surprise they were lifted from the floor and taken to the "bathing pool" (the washing machine); then they were sunbathing and felt like new because of the lavender smell, they were transferred to the hands of a beautiful creature (a woman), who very carefully changed the whole aspect of the two socks, and remodeled them adding details of other colors and finally joined them forever.

Now they were treated with much love and seemed to please everyone, the life of these two old socks changed forever and their character was happy and fun, they became a cuddly toy for the child of the house.
