WHAT I SEE:
I can see a man on a blue shirt holding a black torch, a chair, a pillar, a wall with peeling paint and a wooden window.

WHAT I FEEL:
I feel curiosity, action or ready for what's out there.

I want to give a special thanks to the sponsor's of this contest for there support, likes of @freewritehouse, @mariannewest and others. Thank you, also i would love to invite @prayzz to join the contest.
Here's my entry.

Tonight started just like any other in my boring. I clocked in at just about 8:00PM at the house I was guarding. I signed in just as the guy responsible for the day shift signed out. He stayed back to chat for a while, then he eventually had to leave.

I’m a contract staff at a security company. And this house is my most recent allocation. I’ve been here for close to two months, running night shift. And they only description I can give the job is…Boring‼
The house is set apart from others, looks old and abandoned, although a family lives inside. There’s nothing flashy or eye catching about the house, so I had no idea why the owner felt they needed security. But as my bosses didn’t see it fit to tell me, I didn’t see it fit to ask. All I do when I clock in is to go round the house, check that all is in order I go to the front & relax. For the entire night. Nothing happens in this area.

Or so I thought. After my usual round the house check, I was alerted by a loud tap coming from the back of the house, I sit-up, straining my ear to ensure silence until I hear it again.

Was this finally going to break the boredom?

Hoping to catch a burglar in action, I sprang to my feet & grabbed my torch off the desk. As I flicked it on, it’s string beam tone through the dark night, highlighting every object it fell upon. I walked round the house, my feet making no sound, the beam of the torch leading the way as I walked past the dilapidated chair and the wall with palling paint.
The sound comes again, louder this time. I hurry up, to catch them in the act, then I dash out of the corner and ready to pounce on….. Nobody. There was no one there. Just me.

Sweeping the torch over the place, I saw it was the breeze pushing the window shut. And each time, it shut with the tap sound. The family had not locked it before retiring for the night. And there was no way I could lock it from outside. So, disappointed, I turn back and return to the front of the house. There’s no one saving me from this boredom.

You make a good storyteller @ubani1. I love the fact that your vocabulary is rich and each paragraph gives an emotion. Here in school, I see lots of houses similar to this but the difference is that the ones here are quite beautiful and with good structure. But if you ask me, I'd never guard a house like that. Lol. The boredom is on a different level. Nice story.

Lol.. Don't try guarding a house if you don't have experience and someone to keep you in company. its such a boring one.
Thanks for reading dear.
