In a small room, clad in a single white robe that concealed both her scented lingerie and her sore body, she sat across her mirror and she tried...
She tried to steel her mind, she tried to forget her pains, her sores, she tried not to think at all, she tried.. and she almost succeeded...

She stopped herself just in time as her hands of their own accord, began the mechanical motions of re-fixing her makeup and hair in readiness for her next client...

A few teardrops escaped her eyes... It was a habit now, those movements. It had become a habit after she had done the same movements for 11 long years, ever since she had become a woman.

But she reminded herself that tonight was different...

Tonight as she sat across the mirror, dressed in a single white robe as usual, her sores concealed, her mind active, she tried. She tried to soak this present feeling, to drown in it, to keep it locked somewhere safe in her memory. She tried.. and again, she almost succeeded...

Because even though she knew now that the old motel room was gone, and this was her new home, her matrimonial home, she knew she would never forget. Not anytime soon anyway...

She had been in a prison of passion almost all her life. And here too was no different.. It was just another prison of passion, only this time it was hers... her prison...

Again, the tears flowed, but this time, it not only felt, but it also had a different meaning...
