This was one miserable day. When I put my boat overboard the sky was already looking like it could rain any minute. I made it halfway out to the channel before the wind picked up. I called my husband, he was already out there. I asked him if he thought I would sink if I anchored out there. He said yes, and he was pulling the anchor and going up the creek where it would be calmer.

I turned around and went back up the creek. I have been wanting to try a shallow cove, so I went there. I just got anchored and my phone rings. It was my husband asking where I was at. I told him and asked where he was, he said he stopped under the bridge until the storm blows over. While we were talking I had a fish on. It was a big sailcat but I lost it at the side of the boat. I pitched another bait and got that one in the boat. I threw another bait and then KA-BOOM thunder and it was close. I pulled the anchor and headed for the bridge.

We were not under the bridge for long when another fisherman showed up, this is Joe he is one of the few of us from the old days before the river crashed.

The storm finally passed and the wind laid down so we went out to the channel. I caught 70 pounds before the wind picked back up and it got too rough to fish out there. We both went back to the creek. The sky started looking bad again but this time there was only rain, no lightning so we fished through it.

I had a 6 foot spinner shark jumped not far from my boat, maybe 15 or 20 feet. They could hurt if they jumped and landed in my boat. Things would have gotten exciting if that happened I would have grabbed my club and hacked him on the head. I said hacked but now I think that is the wrong word it should be whacked. But I really do not think it would calm him down, it might just piss him off more than he already was.
