This is my post for #freewriters Tuesday prompt wooden bowl hosted by @mariannewest

I have never cared much for having a wooden bowl. Think about it, wood is porous and could soak up many different flavors. At one time the wooden bowl was the "in thing". But I think people got tired of trying to get the smells out of them. Lemon juice will take the smells out but glass bowls are easier to clean so why bother with wood. Save a tree and less work, I am all for both of these things....

We finally made a little money today. We took our pigfish and went after sailcats. We caught 75 pounds and they are worth .65 cents a pound, it is not a lot of money but a hell of a lot better than the 15 dollars total for the last 3 days.

Tomorrow my husband is going back trout fishing because he has been wanting to fish the islands in Grant. Last year he had some good catches off of them. I will go run the pigfish traps then try to catch more sailcats.

They are coming right along with the new railroad tracks

But this puzzles me, they have the tracks built from one shore to the other, and now in between the old tracks and the new tracks they are putting in very tall concrete pilings.
